14.01.2022 As I reminded a student today... The decision not to practice is actually just that.... A DECISION. We all have choices to make and unless you are seriously ill or something catastrophic has occured in your life you can always make the choice of whether or not to practice your instrument. I don't get mad at students for choosing not to practice (disappointed sometimes but never upset) but I do require that they acknowledge their choice rather than giving me a long list of excuses. Own your musical choices and accept the consequences that YOUR choices create!
