16.01.2022 It was so cool to see our second print run of 3000 copies roll off the production line at Marvel Bookbinding in Melbourne! All outstanding online orders will be posted on Monday. Our apologies to those people who've been waiting a while for their books. We had a couple of minor setbacks with the reprint but we're finally back in business. Stock will be replenished at a heap of post offices, newsagents, galleries and visitor centres in the Mallee and Wimmera on Monday and Tues...day. And there are still copies for sale in a range of bookshops in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. Thanks everyone for your amazing support!

16.01.2022 North Western Drive-in cinema near Birchip was open from 1965 to 1988. On weekends, there'd often be a queue of cars stretching back a kilometre or more along the road leading to the main entrance, as people travelled from surrounding towns such as Wycheproof, Donald and Sea Lake. We now know the people in the photo are Stephen Parry (left) and Mervyn Donnellon. *** ORIGINAL POST: Photographer Andrew Chapman has been scanning some pictures from his archive and has discovered a few gems from the Mallee. But he's missing some key information. Can anyone help us identify the people in this picture taken near Beulah during harvest in 1989?

10.01.2022 The railway line was extended from Watchupga to Woomelang in 1899, but the line only carries freight trains these days, so the Woomelang station is no longer used. Glenn Singleton is pictured in the town of Speed where the sign was installed to prevent people from accelerating as they drove in to the tiny Mallee town. 06.01.2022 The reprint is underway at Adams Print in Geelong. Another 3000 copies of The Mallee book rolling off the production line! Postage of books ordered via the Ten Bag Press website will resume on Monday, November 16. All books between then and Christmas will be delivered by Express Post.

03.01.2022 The inscription on the statue on Guthrie Street Quambatook reads: "Lest We Forget Erected in memory of our soldiers Who paid the supreme sacrifice ... For the Empire In the Great War 1914 - 1919" So many Mallee people will be remembered today for their contributions and sacrifices. Lest we forget. Noel Butcher
