22.01.2022 We might not be able to fit you all in for grand final day, and getting the entire crew over for a bbq is still out, but we can still help your day with some tasty food and a growler of something from the taps. To sweeten the deal we’re doing $20 parmas and $25 growler refills for pickup on Saturday between 5pm and 7pm. If you hit us up via messenger with your details (name, phone number, order and pickup time) we’ll make sure everything is ready to go when you need it. Dal will give you a call to arrange a prepayment so we can get you in and out and back to the couch as easily as possible.

21.01.2022 We're open! Actually we've been open for a couple of weeks but our space is limited. At the moment the pub has two sittings to maximise the amount of smiling faces we see, and so our kitchen doesn't get too bored. We're also taking deposits to protect us against cancellations - it's also the minimum spend and gets taken off the bill on the night. Hopefully once restrictions have changed we'll able to open up more to everyone. We're still doing delivery/pickup of food and beer for the time being too.

So this is our ‘i can’t believe it’s not a special!’ Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches baby! Ok, so what the hell is this you ask? Basically, it’s a fried chicken burger, but it sounds cooler. Brined in pickle juice, seasoned with spicy and tasty things, taken out the back and beaten flat, floured and fried chicken thigh, dunked in a spicy cay...enne pepper oil and smooshed into a potato bun, with aioli, iceberg lettuce, and pickles. Served with chips and sides of gravy and house made hot sauce. For lovers of fried chicken and spicy things. It looks a little like this stock photo I found, but better, because it’s a real thing you can eat and not a photo. $22 on delivr or for pickup, until we run out. Similar to the American BBQ we did during lockdown 1.0, this’ll be a preorder and pickup only deal, with pickup times staggered to make it all flow and be as COVID safe as we need to. ... This time around for $30 per person you’ll get: - 100g Smoked beef brisket - 100g pulled pork - 1 piece southern fried chicken - 1 serve chips House made sauces and sides: - Bourbon Maple BBQ sauce - Blue cheese Ranch sauce - Habanero and Pineapple hot sauce - Creamy herb slaw - Pickles and pickled jalapeños You can add a growler (reusable 2L bottle) of either Colonial Pale Ale, Melbourne Bitter, or Willie Smiths Apple Cider from the tap for $25 if you provide your own growler, or $30 if we provide it. Indonesian style curry with chunks of overnight braised beef cheek. It’s normally a very dry curry but we’ve made this one saucy because our customers are quite saucy too. Served with coconut rice and garnished with coriander, kaffir lime, Australian native finger lime, chilli and peanuts. $30 *contains shellfish* Wagyu Beef Burger: 200g wagyu beef patty (made with the same cuts of beef our normal burgers are made with, but with wagyu, and just salt and pepper - the way the Hamburglar intended), iceberg lettuce, tomato, cheese, burger sauce and bacon, onion and espresso jam. Served with chips and in a Buninyong Bakehouse milk bun. $28 Pulled Jackfruit Burger: One for the Vegans - Braised Jackfruit, creamy red cabbage and herb slaw, house made pickles, maple and chipotle BBQ sauce. 09.01.2022 Howdy dear patrons! This week we’ve got a couple of fresh specials for y’all. Double Wagyu Cheeseburger. The last couple of weeks I’ve been playing around trying to make the best burger we’ve ever sold. This could very well be it. I still dream of burgermeister in Berlin, but it’s not a bad second choice! 2 x 100g wagyu patties (two patties means double the deliciousness), rubbed with a special coffee based spice rub. With double cheese, a sharp and chunky pickle sauce, and ...caramelised onion. Served with shoestring fries (because they’re the best), with crack salt. What’s crack salt you ask? Basically the method is a secret but it’s my take on kfc salt. Good times. $23 Sri Lankan Chicken Curry. A really fragrant and medium spiced curry with chicken, tomato and loads of curry leaves. Served with a basmati pilaf style rice with herbs and fried onion, and garnished with coriander. $24 I’ll also have my absolute favourite Szechuan dish, Dan Dan Noodles, coming later in the week. With spicy pork, pickled mustard greens, choy sum, fresh egg noodles and chilli oil. I’ll let you all know when I get that sorted out.
