25.01.2022 "Mum, Is Santa Real?" Genevieve has finally worked it out, my heart is broken. Even though i told her "If you don't believe, you won't receive." The look in her eyes told me she knew. This is going to be the first time in 15 years that i won't have a child waiting up for Santa ... Alexander is too young, and the rest know the truth, It's not going to be the SAME!! 14.01.2022 9 years ago Today. My marriage of 10 years ended abruptly while i was still in a private hospital giving birth to my daughter. The circumstances that took place that had me take this photo will blow your mind. I thought it would be a great time to play 1 truth, 2 lies. Im changing it Up.... 1. I decided after my marriage ended so abruptly that, i took my 1 month old baby, to the gold coast for 10 days of relaxation. At 5pm i dropped The older 2 stayed with grandma and said see you in 10 days, tears streaming down my face, she said "keep your phone on, im worried" and our flight left 2 hours later. 2. I walked out her front door, slamming it behind me, my eyes filling with tears, overwhelming emotion came over me and i cried, I cried so hard, that people in the street were staring, I didn't care.... Let me take you back. It was the day the photo here was taken with my at the time boyfriend, 1 year after my marriage of 10 years ended. My mum, not once asked " are you ok"? And it was bothering me, I am not ok, I haven't been OK, i think ever. I remember a 10 year old Nicole singing, in her room, dreaming that one day, there would be a stage, people would applaud, I would be loved. 32 Year old Nicole couldn't stop crying, Didn't anyone care that i was sinking? I was so far under, i couldn't breathe, I was in trouble, financially & emotionally. I felt like a prisoner in my own body. A Smile on the outside, a hurricane on the inside..... .............. 07.01.2022 Cue The Tears It's been an extremely hard 12 months for this mumma. The House Flooding My partner leaves to get help for his mental health issues ( no return date yet )... Covid My dad being diagnosed with thyroid & Lung Cancer. How many mirrors have i broken? I mean seriously I can't catch a break, so i took one, 8 days in South Gippsland to soak up some pretty amazing moments with my dad & family. It was literally a holiday of love On my return, my lovely neighbour, ( we call her Doreen as we think she looks like a Doreen) Shouts, Yoooouuu Whoooo. Some things arrived for you, I have been keeping them safe. I think, oh god its bills. But No, its Not Bills ( thank god) 9 Packages! 9, thats right 9! This one standing out, a gift box from @chemistdiscountcentre It's so beautiful (photo's don't do it justice) Can i say a HUGE, THANK YOU! It's filled to the BRIM with unbelievable/amazing products for the entire family. Its so heavy. I can't even deal.... Tonight I am wrecked, just unpacking after driving 4 hours with 4 kids, stick a fork in me, I AM DONE So the unboxing starts tomorrow. 04.01.2022 There's nothing worse than the smell of stale flower water. I was moving in this @poppyslittletreasures side table that arrived today and spilt a vase, omg the stench was gross, all over my new carpet I used @novacaustralia Foaming Sanitiser, within minutes my carpet was smelling like a floral garden.... 02.01.2022 I can't believe its the last day of 39, as of Tomorrow i will be "In my 40's" I still can't believe it. But, i wouldn't trade it for the world, My 30's was my hardest decade, break ups, make ups, break ups, abusive relationships, fighting for full custody of my children, every step i made was in fear of what others thought of me. Going in to 40, I know who i am, I no longer care what others think. I feel like i have found myself & that's the best feeling ever.... Thanks to covid im not at my ideal weight, which was a 40 goal, but stuff it, im curvy and I am totally vibing it. Im so excited for what the next decade brings. I'm on great terms with all of my kids, we communicate, we are the tightest knit little tribe. and today, I signed my book deal Tomorrow we are having a family photoshoot to celebrate the day and I am so excited! 02.01.2022 No More Cheat Meals & I mean it! Why do we have to call them CHEAT MEALS? It's not a test, its a lifestyle. It's a choice.... If we ( by we I mean Diana & I) choose to succumb to our craving for sugar, we choose to eat something unhealthy, something we want, something we do not need, we are going to call them CHOICE meals. We always have a choice. Chocolate or Chia Pudding Icecream or Yoghurt On Saturdays we no longer "cheat" ourselves, we choose to indulge. . On another note, as requested The Best Ever Protein Ball Recipe Ingredients: 2 cups of your favourite oats (we like @uncletobys ) 2 Servings of @bondiproteinco chocolate proteinpowder 1/2 cup of cranberries 1 cup of Almonds 1 Cup of desiccated Coconut 2 table spoons of @natureswayoz Superfood Mixture 2 tablespoons of @doseandco collagen creamer Milk to taste Method: Mix all of the dry ingredients ( keep the coconut separate for later) in a food processor until smooth, add in milk until it looks & feels like cookie dough, roll into balls, Roll in coconut.
