07.01.2022 We're thrilled to announce that today's fundraising event raised a total of $871.30 for 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur. The breakdown $585 to the sausage sizzle and $286.30 for raffle tickets, tea towels and change donations. Matt smashed it, Louise came second. We'd like to thank everyone who popped down for a chat, and support the fundraiser, some came just for a sausage, we had 10yr+ vegans step into the shop to buy tickets and a tea towel, we had families come f...or lunch, some came to talk about the walk, their connection with it and Fred Borg - what we saw was unity in our community. We saw people pay $50 for 2 sausage sandwiches!, we had people pay for 10 sausages sizzles for lunch for the troops after sport, and we had small children buy raffle tickets 'for Nana being treated at the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre'. We'd also like to say a very thank Warren Morrison, Chairman, Sue McGarrity, Deputy Chair and Macarthurs favourite pineapple Louise from Pineapple Marketing & Promotions, for coming down to support the day. $871.30 - already donated ( see first comment) The 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur is an annual fundraising movement that exists to provide the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, the Oncology Ward and the Paediatric Ambulatory Care Unit at Campbelltown Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit and associated Outreach service at Camden Hospital with the extra services and equipment they need to assist in the treatment, care and comfort of children and adults dealing with cancer.
