25.01.2022 Adele who recently had lymph nodes removed from armpit and pelvis because of melanoma and on immunotherapy treatment had a pet scan last week and its showed a hot spot where her lymph nodes were removed just a few months ago. Lets send Adele some prayers and positive vibes that her biopsy performed this week will show that its not cancer. Hi Jay, Results are not as clear cut as I had hoped from pet scan. There is an area of high activity near my right axilla. We wont ...know for certain if its cancer until we investigate further. So ANOTHER biopsy this week. I was SO hopeful for a clear result but Im left feeling frustrated that we have to continue investigations. To say Im over this is an understatement. Im so desperate for a break. And all I want to do is see my family. It doesnt look like any of these will be happening soon. #pleasegivemeabreak #pleaseletitbeclear #nervousandanxious Adele See more

22.01.2022 A special article about our mate Rick Worthington who is battling melanoma with tumours in the brain. Lets send continued prayers and strength to this legend. On our 2000km, 50 day melanoma walk from Adelaide-Sydney last year Rick Worthington walked 40kms on immunotherapy treatment, must have stopped at every service station we walked past as he was suffering from severe side effects but this didnt stop this champion. I will never forget. I said to Rick mate, jump in one of the support cars, he said, NO WAY! Cancer doesnt stop, what about the patients in hospital right now, and with that Rick then powered on , conquering! We love you mate! Bloody legend Rick!!! JAYX
22.01.2022 Tomorrow it will be 8 months since Megin Davies from Brisbane was diagnosed stage 2 melanoma after a beauty spot was removed from her face. With many emotionally tough days had, lets show our friend that she looks beautiful and we care right now. My cheek needs daily oils twice a day and I take collagen tablets to help the healing. It gets twitchy and stiff still. And the emotional side of it all is the worst tbh. When u see ppl try and look without looking. The dating side... of it all omg I get hella nervous meeting a guy for the first time. Then my mind reminds me that cancer is in me for life now and if I let him get close I could break his heart in the worst way possible if cancer takes me so I push them away. That's a roller-coaster and a half and a battle in my heart and head almost daily with myself. But All of this could of been avoided if I just stopped putting myself last. If I didn't ignore that beauty spot getting bigger. If I took 1 day out of my life just for myself for a change and got it checked years ago it could have been removed before it got to the stage it did. So as we all know already do ur skin checks. Have your me time. Put ur health before others, otherwise u could end up scared for life physically and emotionally. I really appreciate all of the support I’ve had from you all and please tell everyone to #getaskincheck Megin Davies
21.01.2022 3 years ago tonight the lovely Ruby Stead received a phone call that would change her life. Melanoma was in her lymph node. Since this time melanoma has sadly spread to her liver, bones, lungs and today Ruby is almost clear of melanoma. Lets show we care right now. This great lady supports so many going through the melanoma journey and is one of the most amazing, caring, humans you would ever meet. Today on my cancerversary, I give thanks, I am blessed beyond measure. ...I am well, Ive had a near complete metabolic response to my treatment, I am slowly getting back to a normal life and Im here to see my Son turn 10 tomorrow. Melanoma is deadly and at best, the worst kind of rollercoaster you can imagine. A special mention must go to my partner Steve, who has been holding me up since this day 3 years ago, I couldnt have done it without him, he has been as solid as a rock and I love him and my Sonny (my Boys) to infinity and beyond Ruby Follow Ruby on her Facebook page Rubys New Normal - Life with Stage IV Melanoma See more

Sadly Rick has two melanoma tumours on the brain, severe side effects from recent radiation and another tumour on the right hip where he had a hip reconstruction last year. This bloke is an absolute legend. Lets show Rick and partner Rach that we care right now. It wasnt that long ago that Rick had other tumours in his body, chest cavity- trachea area, lungs and behind the intestines which were treated with radiation and various drugs that responded well. 19.01.2022 This Wednesday 23rd December, just 2 days before Christmas, Matthew will say goodbye to the love of his life, soul mate, beautiful wife Clare Grady-Lennon who sadly passed away to melanoma 5 days ago. 18.01.2022 If you read this post, lets show Carrie-Ann from Dubbo, NSW that we care right now as this beautiful human sadly has melanoma tumours in pelvis, shoulder blades, groin, abdomen, chest wall/breasts, arms and is about to start a new clinical trial that HAS TO WORK!!! Carrie-Ann is just 42 years old. In September 2017 I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma, after my GP removed a mole from above my right knee. On the 19th December that year I under went a right inguinal node di...ssection and given the all clear. At my 6 month check up in June 2018, I was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma- much to my surprise. I was BRAF negative. August 2018 I began a trial (Nivo+placebo v. Nivo+anti lag 3) with poor results. June 2019 began Nivo + Ipi. Got through 3 doses before severe side effects and poor results. October 2019 I had some surgery - a bowel resection and the removal of another large groin mass. November 2019 began Platform trial (Ribociclib tablet + Spartalizumab infusion). After poor results and more activity in March 2020 I finished the platform trial and began Lenvima tablets in conjunction with Nivo infusion. Had scans on the 10th June, which, NOT surprisingly showed lots of activity once again. We decide to finish the regime and use the time to decide whether I will pursue chemo or a new trial. At this point I have tumours in my pelvis, shoulder blades, groin, abdomen, chest wall/breasts and arms. I have decided I am not ready to go down the chemo route yet, even though my options are lessening. The new trial will be a big commitment for this country NSW girl (Dubbo) to Sydney, away from my 16 year old autistic daughter, my partner of 2 years, and my bucket list puppy, but its something I have to do. I am well at the moment, apart from some increasing pain. I have amazing support from my Mum and Dad, who we live with (and my Mum has stopped work to care for me and run me back and forth to Sydney) and all my other family and friends. Heres hoping I have some luck with the new trial. Carrie-Ann Xx See more

Been a really bad few days. My cancer nurse told me that Im looking at months left to live. Its broke me in pieces. Ive not been able to cope with this and ended up in ho...spital with panic attacks. They told me I had swelling around 1 of the tumours in my brain which was giving me the head aches and ended up turning into a mini seizure, Im trying to look at the positives but Im finding it really hard at the moment, they have put me on steroids to reduce the swelling which Im not looking forward to the side affects again, as I know full well what there like. Please pray for me and my family for a miracle treatment or something. Clare See more

Last scan showed 2 new tumours and 1 had grown significantly. If you read this, let’s show that WE CARE AND SEND ALL PRAYERS AND STRENGTH right now. Wondering if you could ask for prayers and well wishes for my husband. He had a mole removed in 2014 from the top of his head. Then started having headaches in May 2020, and was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma within hours of going to urgent care. The targeted therapy treatment is working well on the tumours in his body but not so well on the ones in his brain unfortunately. 01.01.2022 This legend Rick Worthington got great scan results today, his 3 melanoma tumours in the brain have stopped growing!!!! Rick has spent past few weeks in Rehabilitation learning many things including how to walk again after melanoma tumours were removed from the brain just 1 month ago. Sadly the tumours returned including one in his brain stem and he has been having radiation treatment. If you read this post please lets come together like our community does and show Rick and partner Rach that we care too!! Really good news. The tumours have stopped growing for now. Theyre going to keep a very close eye on them so another scan in 4 weeks. So happy as they dont appear to be radiation resistant so theres every chance the small one in the brain stem will go with the radiation. We are very happy right now Rach and Rick
