20.01.2022 Lose weight now, ask me how.... What a crock! Seriously! How many times have you seen that ad or read those guilty words which ironically make you want to eat?... Maybe about as many times that we have gone on diets or tried to trim off some excess baggage....thats how many!! Look its important to be positive about our bodies in every state in which we find our selves, theres no point allowing self loathing bringing you to change, you need to change your approach- you need to change the way you think ! This leads us to the science of changing our brains and the way we think. Have you given thought about the way you think? The way we see our relationship to food is an important step in mastering ones food lifestyle. Bringing positive changes to your life and food will empower you and give you the motivation to tackle life on your own terms!! One thing: Did you know that when we procrastinate over food we bolster the word no? What is the first thing you want to do when you are told no or you say no to yourself? The first thing you want to do it is why not! Why cant i have that!! Why cant I.....? There we go the procrastinating has started and before you know it youve caved in. Theres one particular thing I advise my clients- instead of no or I cant or I shouldnt. I get them to postpone or maybe later it. 18.01.2022 Are you in a long term relationship? Long term relationships and marraige are one of lifes great anchors, offering stability, friendship and partnership, but when differences arise, it is a delicate dance and good to know that NEARLY EVERYONE is going through difficult times. It is completely normal to fight! As a matter of fact it has been proven that the most healthy relationships are the ones which have difficulties and arguements, as long as we keep the arguments clea...n and abide by a few rules, we can live and prosper with our partners during the rough times. In saying that, we need to maintain fairness, respect and integrity if we go head to head. A few guidelines: Here are 5 tips to help you attain honest and fair communication. 1. Bringing up the past is a no no: Deal with problems and learn from them. Do not use the past as ammo! No one, and i mean no one, like the past thrown at them as add on ammo! 2. Allow each other to air their side of the story: Listen to what each other is saying, both take turns to speak and give time. Listen and repeat back that you understand- its really important that each person feels heard, it isnt the me me me show! This builds compassion and builds relationship rapport because we need to feel valued by the other. 3. Postpone. If you are going at it and starting to get off track, maybe you need to take time out. If you are no longer on topic and not getting anywhere- plus becoming too emotional, agree to take time out and postpone. That way youll both recharge and the fight may not be a big deal when you get back to it. 4. Why are you fighting? This seems really straightforward. Its simple. Right? No, it isnt really, this is where we become emotionally involved and we lose track of why we began to argue in the first place. We find ourselves in a position where we begin to move away from relationship integrity. Here it pays to be mindful of your self and keep in check those emotions so you can re-route to the reason you began to fight. Head to number 3 and take time out. 5. Just. Stop. For. Five. Seconds. Take a few deep breaths and hit the reset. You always have a choice to argue and you have the choice not to. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from not entering into a fight and you can pull out from it. Thats not saying you are not invested in the reason why, only that you are withdrawing from going head to head- that is your right. Be fair in love.

18.01.2022 Depression and anxiety. Is something on your mind? Did you know that sticking to a basic routine and going for walks is great for your mental health? ... Feeling like crap is hard, but we must do our best to wake up at a good time and follow a routine of some sort, head out and go for a walk- with nature is even better. We simply have to engage our minds with action and start to reconnect. Its hard when we are facing our dark times because we all have them, but we must do something to help ourselves as hard as that can be. We can only veg out, sit at home all day, do nothing and only eat bad food for so long, there should come a time when we take stock of our own action and do something. Are you doing something? 17.01.2022 The power of thinking. As humans we live in our created worlds, created by our minds and brought to life by thinking. Cognition or thinking is what makes us human- we are literally the living embodiment and sum of our thoughts. ... Our minds are utterly AMAZING. I have a question for you.... How do you think? Think about that for a second. How do you think. It isnt that easy is it. if you are anything like the next person you just create a thought in your mind and thats it! Job is done Easier said than done right! The key to thinking isnt to make thinking easier to do, it is to make it clear. When we have a clear and uncluttered mind we are free to enjoy our lives. Sometimes the brain has a mind of its own and will think and do all kinds of things which we didnt want, itll play songs on repeat, and throw problems aplenty - it seems like you just cant control what it does. Buzz Buzz Buzz! Are you able to just switch a song off at its source? Shoosh a thought instantly because it isnt something you thought about? Or does your mind come up with random problems you cant solve and just keep repeating the same loop? Guess what....we ALL get that way! The mind can come up with all kinds of crap. But we dont have to live with a brain which gives you grief, we can sort it out so we can essentially have a blank canvas to work from, a canvas to really express ourselves. When we learn to live with our own truth and are the sole authors of our own minds and think from a clear, open space, we come from sovereignty because we are the source. So have a think about it, when minds are cluttered it can be hard to think and act from our true place- so it is important to be able to reset and get back to a baseline. Are you feeling yourself? 16.01.2022 Our unique soul self is constantly trying to express its form over that of the ego. The lowest forms of unconscious ego competes, compares, hordes, obsesses, collects, self serves and takes from others. A little more balanced person has a better understanding of the true dynamics of life, how to live fair and just and gives back to the world.... A person who is a little more conscious begins to undetstand that there is a little more to life and spends time helping others, spreading good will and sharing positive reinforcing ideas meant to help others. The soul gives and expects nothong back. The ego gives and expects reward. The more conscious a person is the more the scales skew away from ego and into the truth of the self. But still the ego needs validation, it needs proof and it needs measurement. It needs to judge in order to place the self away or above from others. If it does not understand it will you seperate from others. Let a little light in. Be fearless in expressing your truth.

10.01.2022 Self truths. When we operate our lives from accountability, truth and fairness, we start to recognise the facade of control we have over situations is a bit of an illusion. When we drop our- me me me Im important bits we start to live more from the heart and less from the head. By fearing what we dont have or what we could lose- we often project that fear by trying to control outcomes and people so they fit our inner narrative. We turn into control freaks. A control freak inner narrative is fear and is insatiable.....cancel it out by doing what is fair, truthful and accountable.

10.01.2022 A smile can say many things in a situation and is the great anxiety buster, if you have ever suffered from anxiety, you will know the power of a smile and how it cuts through the uncertainty. It also places the anxiety in your body at a position where it has less to feed off and can start to produce neurotransmitters (endorphins, dopamine and seratonin) which release and counter the panic chemicals (cortisol, adrenalin, etc) Smile! As hard as it may seem, you just may get back positivity!!

03.01.2022 Water on the brain eh? ZOIKS!!! No silly! Its a visual metaphor. Yeah, I know you got it, bad dad joke! ... Maintaining our mental health is really important because we rely on it to get us through life and all the good bits (and not so good bits) inbetween when we are moving from A to B. The trick to maintaining good mental health is not to leave it too late or as an after thought, or waiting until the damage is done. Damage is done? Damage? How? Damage from things which create drama in your life which you are unable to deal with, drama like sustained periods of mental stress or anxiety. Or drug abuse leading to us to mistreat our mental health. It can be depression, caused by different factors which lead to long term problems. Any of the above if left will cause long term mental health damage. Can you see the merits of recognising mental health now? Mental health....it isnt a dirty word to be avoided is it? Much like hurting your knee and not doing anything about it only for it to create lasting damage later. Mental health- by acting on events which create problems in our mind we can learn to recognise and work through our issues by education and seeking help from those who are trained to help us. It is that simple. I am not saying ALL mental health issues can be helped by ones self, no. I am saying the more we learn about ourselves, our mental health and our selves, the better chance we have at tackling the issues that can cause us mental drama. 03.01.2022 Shedding. Peeling back the layers. Letting go. ... Sometimes the most difficult and liberating times of our lives can be the realisation that a friendship or relationship is a one way street, or we may feel undervalued. As much as we might want to be a part of an others life, to celebrate it, to be invited or involved somehow- it sometimes just isnt to be and that is part and parcel of life and living....They might pull back, become less involved and thats completely their choice. Sometimes thats ok, sometimes its not. We can rack our brains and try to find answers but really its an exercise in letting go of what the expectation of that relationship means to us. It can really hurt . It hurts when we care and we invest time in them, we want to involve our selves with them... it is almost like there should be some kind of validation to that, but thats expectation on our part, and as we are taught in mindfulnes/self conscious awareness,- expectation is falsity and we shouldnt load relationships with the weight of obligation and expectations. Assumptions. Right? Same same. Dont load a relationship with them, it leads to disappointment. But i think the deeper we get to know our selves the deeper we can allow our relationships to develop. Other wise we dance this merry little dance of never really connecting - because we are so fearful of letting go and we fear letting others truly see us. (Let it out, trust me- everyone wants to let go of that fear!!,) We can even stay locked in a kind of punishment- push and pull . Push and pull yet we can remain incommunicado and we isolate . Or as we do in this modern world , we stay busy . Its the same thing. To be busy is to be out of reach. When we start to shed the layers through this life and get to the soul of who we are, we begin to lighten the burdens that weigh us down through life. We begin to peel the layers back and unclutter. We free up our true selves.
