We play a game together circling his spectacular plumage looking for the perfect shot! When the game is over and the feathers fold he sashays down my garden in more style than even Dior or YSL can create!! I am indeed blessed!! Vive la Peacock!!!xxx

15.01.2022 Recently finished....The Mistress of Threads had the privilege of re modelling an utterly adorable wedding dress for a very beautiful young bride. The original design featured a V neck and lace covered bodice. With a great deal of care and fine unpicking, the net and lace bodice was removed and the remaining corset was then edged with creamy lace, sparkling crystals and a trailing lace shoulder adornment.

06.01.2022 We all love a special occasion dress....and often one with sequins and beads. The challenge for us ladies is that few of us have reached the lofty heights of the models who seem to inspire the length of these dresses. Therefore we need to have them hemmed. A few points to consider when making a purchase: Allow time and budget for hemming - often it is an intricate task taking anywhere from 2 to 6 hours! Look for quality beading. Beads that are sewn with a back stitch will ...not readily unravel if a thread breaks whilst a simple chain stitch will easily loose a whole row of beading! Consider wearing shoes that are the highest you are comfortable with so as to minimise the amount of hemming necessary. Below is an example of a beautiful dress that required each bead to be loosened and removed individually. ( A good thing for the purchaser, as this means she will not readily loose a row of beading) The sequins also needed to be cut carefully from each row so as not to break the stitching. Once the area to be hemmed was cleared of sequins and beads a rolled hem was able to be stitched.
06.01.2022 In the pipeline!... A beautiful Italian silk maxi about to emerge for a photo shoot.

05.01.2022 Well overdue sharing a few of our recent developments...little by little putting together a range of beautiful pieces for our relaxed tropical living. Demi-Kaftan tops and a variety of lounge pants and palazzo pants.
05.01.2022 Every girl should have at least one (or half a dozen) glorious skirts in her life!! This is one!! With a 7.65m circumference around the hem she is way more than a full circle and has box pleats coming into a wide high waist. Lined in silk and with horsehair braid to give the hem beautiful shape, the wearing of her is a delightfully sensuous experience! The design is perfect for that special occasion, that One Special Day or just because you would like to feel Wonderful!! Below are are few images of varying stages of construction!.....2.5hrs in the hem alone!!!
