01.01.2022 This came up as a memory from 4 years ago Following on from the news that a school banned a child with autism participating in a school trip I feel the need to write this. There are boys and girls that nobody invites to birthdays for example. There are kids who want to belong to a team but don't get selected because it is more important to win than include these children.... Children with special needs are not rare or strange, they only want what everyone else wants: to be accepted !! Now 2019 I was having a conversation with a friend of ours who has a 26 year old autistic son who loves playing ten pin bowling. He is very competitive in it and constantly strikes those pins....Loves it so much that the workshop he attends everyday takes them bowling twice a week now. Can you believe that the ten pin bowling venue they go to, want to banned him from going because he throws the ball too fast........ they are scared he might drop the ball back. The chances of him throwing the ball back are the same chances anyone else has. Only having this conversation yesterday and then this memory comes up this morning. Can I assume that nothing has changed in 4 years very sad
