25.01.2022 For the first time in WA, The Nationals WA is holding a community preselection where the community chooses who there Nationals candidate will be for the next State Election.
18.01.2022 The Nationals WA have always advocated for less FIFO & more local residential workforce in Regional WA. The only party who truly represents #regionalwa
17.01.2022 Great to be back in Newman over the last few days. Thank you to Shire of East Pilbara, Newman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and BHP Western Australia for ta...king the time to meet and discus the positive future for the community. Very engaging conversations with some of the local community groups about the required wrap around services needed in town to make the region more sustainable and liveable. I truly believe we can grow and enhance Pilbara communities by Local, State and Federal Governments partnering with Industry for a common goal.
17.01.2022 This is the case throughout Regional WA with Pilbara hospitality venues on the brink due to staff shortages.
16.01.2022 This year's Nationals State Conference for 2020 was another great success with the highest number of Pilbara delegates to ever attend with something like a 4,000klm round road trip to attend for the majority of attendees. Fantastic commitment but nothing short of what you would expect from regional people representing regional people.
13.01.2022 Very exciting today with The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) announcing that seven companies have been shortlisted for the next stage of the Agency’s... $70 million hydrogen funding round. Several Pilbara based applications were in those final seven. All applicants have well developed projects that involve deploying 10 MW or larger electrolysers, made up of various end uses including transport, gas injection, renewable ammonia production, power and industrial use. ARENA aims to support two or more of the shortlisted large scale renewable hydrogen projects. These projects will be expected to be among some of the largest electrolysers in the world. Each project will need to be powered by renewable electricity, either directly or through a contracting approach. https://arena.gov.au//seven-shortlisted-for-70-million-hy/
12.01.2022 SMALL BUSINESS WEEK Small business Day is this Saturday in WA. Small businesses are the heart and soul of our communities.... Go into their shop, buy that extra item and talk to that person behind the counter, as they are probably the owner!
12.01.2022 There is fantastic work being done in Roebourne by a truly dedicated group of people. Well done!

09.01.2022 Nationals petition for better signage on regional roads The Nationals WA spokesperson for Transport, Vince Catania, launched a petition calling on the State ...Government to ensure policies for road works signage are strengthened to create safer regional roads. With the promotion of the Wander out Yonder’ campaign, there’s an increased focus on road-trip tourism across WA, resulting in an expected increase in the level of self-drive tourism. With borders closed, this will help re-ignite WA tourism as we move through the COVID recovery phases. After pushing for a review of signage for some months, now more than ever there is a need to ensure our regional road signage is robust and adequate to ensure roads shared with a diverse range of road users, including tourists and heavy-haulage vehicles are safe. To get a copy of the Petition for Road Signage in Western Australia to sign Contact Vince Catania MP (The Nationals WA Spokesperson for Transport) [email protected] or 9941 2999 Follow Vince Catania MP on Facebook @Vince Catania MP Copies will also be available at locations throughout the regions (where possible) eg roadhouses Let’s put politics aside. Australian Labor Party, Liberal Party of Australia (WA Division) Inc, The Australian Greens, Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party, Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party, Liberal Democrats - let’s set up a bipartisan Parliamentary committee to review road signage in Western Australia and save lives! 07.01.2022 K A R R A T H A is calling! A positive day with our candidate for Pilbara #ScottBourne meeting with Council representatives, a tour of the Red Earth Arts Prec...inct, Karratha CCI, a tour of the Yara Pilbara operations. This city is a testament to how #RoyaltiesforRegions can be used to bring together Local, State and Federal Government and industry to drive regional development outcomes, but there’s more to be done. Only The Nationals WA will return it’s integrity so we can keep delivering for regional WA. #regionalalWAys #TheNationalsWA #Pilbara #Karratha #Hedland #Roebourne #Newman #Wickham #Dampier

04.01.2022 The Nationals WA support keeping WA’s border closed. Our priority is making sure all West Australians are kept safe and protected. We stand alongside the majority of West Australians who have made it clear they want the border to remain closed.
