25.01.2022 Day 1 - feeling grateful. I woke up today to so much love from our customers. Messages of support and beautiful words from customers missing our morning coffee chats. I have today spent a much needed day with my husband, chilling out over endless cups of tea, taking a walk around the lake hand in hand and enjoying lunch looking out over the lake. We have spent an evening together as a family enjoying a meal out and not worrying about how early the alarm clock is going to go ...off!! I was also blown away by this video and wanted to express a huge thank you to Northern Beaches Council for showcasing our business. We are so honoured to be featured. 16.01.2022 Fathers Day 2020. A treasured morning for sure. A day we would normally be open creating beautiful breakfast and morning tea hampers for all the dads out there. This morning the children and I created morning tea at home complete with freshly baked scones as a special thank you to Matt. ... My husband, our superhero for those of you that dont know is the rock of our little family. He holds us all up and for 2 years has worked tirelessly to keep the café going, made harder by my long visits back to the UK visiting my sick father who I miss more than words can say today. Not only does Matt have a day job, he is also our weekend cook at the café producing those awesome bacon & egg rolls and corn fritters. A typical day for him starts at 5.30am, ironing uniforms, making the kids lunches, helping me set up at the café, loading/unloading the kiln, zooming back home to pick up the kids and then going to work. He keeps everything going behind the scenes. And he truly deserves this day. We use to take these events for granted but not anymore. Today is about treasuring every little bit because we know when the doors open back up (which they will) a lazy Sunday morning will be a thing of the past.
