Unfortunately for me, 80% of my work is out in these suburbs. 07.01.2022 A question that is all too familiar and gets asked at least twice a day is: "When can my child stop using their booster seat?" I hear lots of parents trying to "validate" the reason why their child "needs" to be out of their booster seat, including: ... - "Theyre too old" - "Other kids their age arent using them" - "Some Victorian government websites says they can be out of a booster seat at age 7" The answer is simple. 145cm. If your child is under 145cm, they need to be in a booster seat to travel safely. Adult Seat Belt provisions in majority of vehicles are made and tested to suit a person of a MINIMUM 145cm in height. Then you get the adults that have a joke about it and say "But Im probably not 145cm tall, I should be in a booster seat" and you know what, you are probably correct However, the way an adult and child sit in the "seated" position can vary quite significantly, and there is also another very important difference between a child and an adult, which is bone structure density. But enough of me rambling on or else Ill be here all afternoon...
