25.01.2022 Claremont killer Bradley Edwards's acquittal of the murder of Sarah Spiers will not be challenged by the state, prosecutors have revealed. Edwards, a former Telstra technician, was last month found guilty of the wilful murders of Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon in the 1990s. But he was found not guilty of the 1996 murder of 18-year-old Sarah Spiers, who also disappeared from the suburb of Claremont in similar circumstances, but whose body has never been found. 24.01.2022 Brazilian nursing student Daiane Pelegrini was allegedly stabbed to death at her western Sydney home in August. David Tran, a man she had reportedly dated, has been charged with her murder and the case is currently ongoing. Just a few months earlier, in a Facebook post, she had responded to Scott Morrison’s announcement that international students unable to support themselves should make your way home. She wrote: Is this the Aussie spirit? Is this how you treat people who are in your country and vulnerable? The 33-year-old is one of three international students killed in suspected domestic violence incidents in a four-month period during the coronavirus pandemic. 24.01.2022 I’d go back to the same city sometimes and pluck me another grape. How many grapes do you all got on the vine here? On New Year’s Day 1971, Mary Brosley, 33, had become the first known victim of a man since recognized as the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history. Over more than 700 hours of videotaped interviews with police that began in May 2018, Samuel Little, now 80, has confessed to killing 93 people, virtually all of them women, in a murderous rampage that span...ned 19 states and more than 30 years. A gifted artist with an unnervingly accurate memory, Little has produced lifelike drawings of dozens of his victims. And, with the fervor of an old man recalling the exploits of his youth, he has provided police with precise details about their murders, invariably effected by strangulation. Across America, police have spent more than two years using that information to reopen cold-case investigations and attempt to bring closure to families who have waited decades to learn what happened to the mother who vanished, the sister whose suspicious death was never explained. 24.01.2022 Dear RED HEARTERS! Please donate and share to support Ricky Rowlands' daughter. Ricky was murdered in Melbourne on Saturday. Police have charged Ricky's former partner and are also seeking a male. Ricky was raising his 16-year-old daughter by himself when he was killed. Now his daughter is on her own and needing our support!

23.01.2022 John Magill has helped crack some of Australia’s most baffling crimes, but the one that drives him the murder of his daughter remains agonisingly out of reach. The murder of Jane Thurgood-Dove, gunned down in the driveway of her Niddrie home 23 years ago next week, is a crime that should not have happened and could have been solved if not for a series of blind alleys and dead ends. From day one, the answer was literally up the road, although it would take five long years before homicide squad detectives concentrated in that direction. 21.01.2022 CW: Image and name of a ln Indigenous woman who was killed! The killers of Lynette Daley have appealed. A Supreme Court jury in 2017 took just 32 minutes to convict Adrian Attwater and Paul Maris over the death of Lynette, who was killed on a beach in northern NSW on the 2011 Australia Day weekend. The swiftness with which the jurors reached their verdicts is now being put forward in an appeal against the convictions of the two men as evidence they were misdirected.... Lynette Daley bled to death on Ten Mile Beach in January 2011. Attwater's barrister Janet Manuell, SC, told the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal on Wednesday that Justice Elizabeth Fullerton erred in her directions to the jury about the Crown's assertion that her client had lied in his account to police of what had happened on Ten Mile Beach the night Ms Daley died. Attwater and Maris told police they had engaged in a night of "wild sex" in which Ms Daley, though drunk, was a willing participant. Attwater had used his fist to penetrate Ms Daley in such a manner she was left with significant internal injuries, from which she would bleed to death. 20.01.2022 An "evil" sexual sadist who repeatedly raped and abused his former partners has been jailed for at least 13 years in NSW. Aron Goodrem, 30, has been handed a maximum term of 20 years in prison after admitting more than 20 charges including seven for rape and seven for common assault. "There is little doubt as described by one of the victims in this matter, the behaviour of Mr Goodrem here was evil," Sydney District Court Judge John Pickering said during sentencing on Monday. "He made his victims feel like they were in a cage with him, they had no freedom and he maintained control over their lives." 19.01.2022 South Australia has become the last state to abolish the so-called "gay panic" provocation defence, with legislation passing State Parliament late on Tuesday. The defence could previously be used by a criminal court to downgrade a charge of murder to one of manslaughter in certain circumstances, including where a defendant could prove they were provoked to violence by a homosexual advance. South Australia's Law Reform Institute scrutinised the gay panic defence in two reports, before recommending in 2018 that it be abolished by the State Government. 18.01.2022 Amid a two-year scuffle to reform Australia’s family law system, which is buckling under so much work that some judges are dealing with more than 600 cases, the parade of desperate and troubled people through its courts crawls on. In New South Wales, a young girl who pulled apart a live lizard in childcare says she has been sexually abused by her father and grandfather; in Queensland, an overworked judge takes seven years to hand down a decision; Aboriginal children removed by authorities from the victims of family violence in Western Australia are having reunification delayed because a family court dealing with a backlog of cases will not sit in the region for months. 17.01.2022 CW: This post contains the name and photo of an Indigenous child lost to violence! Tamica Mullaley has called for an inquest into her son’s murder after a series of bungles led to delays in trying to locate the 10-month-old boy. A legal challenge to trigger a coronial inquest was declined in June this year after a judge found it was not necessary or desirable in the interest of justice". In March 2013, baby Charlie was kidnapped in Broome by Ms Mullaley’s abusive partner Me...rvyn Bell and tortured for over 15 hours. Ms Mullaley, a victim of domestic violence, had suffered a violent assault which left her bleeding and naked, but was arrested when police were called to the scene. Ms Mullaley was subsequently taken to hospital in handcuffs. That night, her father, Ted Mullaley, had requested police take the child away from the crime scene. The police failed to intervene, and the baby was abducted by Mr Bell, who then sexually assaulted and murdered Baby Charlie the next day. 16.01.2022 THIS IS NOT JUSTICE - IT'S A JOKE! Dear RED HEARTERS. What is a life worth? In the case of Hind (Helen) Mouawad, her right to die a death of peace and dignity is worth only six years in prison for her killer. This disgustingly inadequate jail term was handed to Helen's killer today - her son Boutros Mouawad. He beat Helen to death with a plank of wood, went to the pub for a drink, tried to cover up the killing and then cried 'mental health issues' to score an almost free p...ass. Mouawad, 57, was charged with murder over Helen's death in 2019 at her home in Woonoona, NSW. He pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter and was sentenced today to a minimum of six years. The court heard he was 'mentally ill' when he beat his mother to death. Yet what he did throughout the crime shows he was cold and calculating. He made many efforts to cover up the crime - including putting her head in a bag to stop the bleeding - and to hide the weapon. After killing Helen he went to his local RSL to establish an alibi. On his return home he hosed her body down and the area around her to try to remove the blood. He took the bag from her head and dumped it in a bin. He rang triple zero saying he had returned home to find his mother unconscious and that she fell over. He continually lied to police and even during his sentencing he blamed his own mother for him ending her life. The soft hearted judge decided that bipolar disorder was to blame for what was.described as a extreme case of domestic violence. Once again, a violent perpetrator has gained an easy ride from our legal system and the real victim - Helen Mouawad - has been left without any trace or hope of justice. See more

05.01.2022 POLICE will allege 60-year-old Bradley Ward died from a homicide by heart attack after his neighbour flew into a vicious rage over a trivial dispute and attacked him, kicking him in the head and bashing him with a broom stick. Trevor Dale Wheeler, 48, today applied for bail in the Brisbane Supreme Court after he was charged with the manslaughter of Bradley who died in the driveway of his Labrador home two weeks ago. The Crown opposed Wheeler being granted bail, saying there was a concern he may reoffend and there was evidence he had chased another man down the street while armed with knives in 2019. 04.01.2022 Her name was Reeva Steenkamp. She was a 29-year-old model who was the face of an anti-bullying campaign and was about to return to her old school to talk to girls about gender-based violence. She was adored by her family. But on Valentine’s Day 2013 she was murdered by her violent, controlling boyfriend. He shot her four times through the locked door of a bathroom in his home, where she was cowering, petrified. Her future was stolen by a dangerous predator with a history of c...ontrolling and abusing women; a former girlfriend has said he used to lock her in his house with no food for hours at a time, call her parents many times a day to track her movements and physically abuse and threaten her to the extent that she feared for her life. That is the story of Steenkamp’s horrific murder by the Paralympian Oscar Pistorius. But it seems England's national broadcaster disagrees. Last week, the BBC began promoting a new four-part documentary series, The Trials of Oscar Pistorius. It launched a trailer that did not mention Steenkamp’s name, but instead featured Pistorius’s remarkable sporting achievements, praise from Nelson Mandela and his lie that he didn’t do it.
