14.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM | Introducing Katy who joins us in 2020 as our Street Performance Co-Director. Katy is a contemporary dance-theatre practitioner who uses multi-pl...atform arts to cause moments of interaction, connection, and interpretation. With a deep focus on artistic process and collaboration Katy encourages community, expression, and storytelling through her works. Katy will be collaborating with fellow performance co-director Meredith showcasing their 2020 LIT Festival street performance "LIT Movers" on Friday 13 March and Saturday 14 March. One Toowoomba day that I’ll never forget? "Just at the end of 2019 my friend Tomoko dressed me in one of her best kimono, one that her mother had given her, with golden obi and all, we played Taiko with our tribe of drummers for our friends and family in Laurel Bank Park. Inner child dreams came true that day." . . . To coincide with Queensland Women’s Week, we're inviting you to meet the amazing women who have helped shape LIT Festival 2020. #QWW2020 #EachForEqual Image: Theresa Hall Photography

Ja...de currently works out of First Coat Studios, and is completing her Bachelor of Creative Arts at USQ. She believes access to cultural experiences is a vital part of community engagement, supporting regional arts & arts workers keeps this culture alive, and helps to build future initiatives.
