22.01.2022 Feeling run down and Mr. Thermonica made me my favourite soup. Hearty 7 vegetable soup. I asked for the following edits - 50g ginger - 5 cloves of garlic - wombok instead of kale and silverbeet (as that is what we had) - extra 300g water as I wanted more soup/broth so that meant extra lemon and stock paste. He was so accommodating. ... I always crave this soup when i’m sick it’s my go-to!! What’s yours?

19.01.2022 TB! I’ve never made dumpling skins & always loved the idea of spinach dumplings. While they’re not the prettiest (i had to use a wine bottle as a rolling pin ) they were delicious. Leave out the oyster sauce to make it vegan. Recipe: ... 50g fresh spinach 400g plain flour 175g warm water 1/2 tsp salt 1. Blitz spinach on turbo 5-7 times until fine. Use spatula at intervals to scrape down bowl. 2. Add flour, water and salt and mix 20s/sp4 3. Mix in dough mode for 2mins 4. Place dough in thermoserver to rest for 20 minutes Filling: -3cm piece of ginger - 3 cloves garlic - 1 carrot - 150g white cabbage - 150g mushrooms - 2 sprigs coriander (stems included) - 2 tsps cornflour - 2 tsps sesame oil - 1 tsp soy seasoning or soy sauce - 1 tsp white pepper - 1 tbsp oyster sauce - 1 tsp chinese rice wine vinegar or sushi vinegar 5. Blitz ginger and garlic 3s/sp7. 6. Add carrot, cabbage, mushroom, coriander 4s/sp4.5 7. Add remainder ingredients 5s/reverse sp4. 8. Divide dough into 4 portions, flour your thermomix mat & roll out one portion until it’s about 2mm thick. 9. Using the round side of the dumpling maker, press into the dough. 10. Carefully lift cutout and place ontop of the dumpling mould and spoon a tablespoon of your filling into centre. 11. Fold press in half and it should seal your dumpling edges. 12. Place into your varoma sheet lined trays in preparation for steaming making sure the dumpling aren’t touching each other. 13. Repeat until finished. 14. Add 500g water and place varoma on top. Steam for 20mins sp3. If you’re doing another batch make sure you top up another 150ml of water and steam for 17mins! Serve with soy sauce and chilli oil! My first batch i rolled out too thickly so then i ended up shallow frying them to crisp up the skin but my second batch was a great thickness. 18.01.2022 Still impressed with myself for my first ever Foccacia Art. This dough is actually the buttermilk bread recipe which was delicious as well. Crispy and bouncy.... You can pick a big range of toppings if you like.. this one has sundried tomatoes, parsley, caramelised onion, cabbage, halloumi, black fungus, and spring onion. I tried to cut out a little dog for Messi but it was so tough and beyond my skill level.. i think i’ll do another gown for the next one too.. do you have... favourite toppings? 16.01.2022 Another day another Berry Protein Smoothie! Yummy I love that smoothie and salad season is upon us. I’m pretty lazy most of the time when it comes to food so salads and smoothies are my go-to’s during the day!! Most of my day time meals are 10min max to prepare (except for boiled eggs which is 11mins but while it’s cooking i’m doing other things) otherwise prepared on the weekend or night before for a grab and go. What are you favourite smoothies right now? This one is ban...ana, blueberries, strawberries, oats, vanilla complete protein powder, almond milk, cashews and ice. 1 min blend mode 8. Super dooper easy. I make it a minute so while it’s blending it gives me enough time to refill the ice tray and put away everything from the cupboards. Are you spring smoothie lover like me?

10.01.2022 Last month i made these divine vegan peanut butter pretzel things from @minimalistbaker I would have to say it’s one of the yummiest treats i’ve come across. Only problem is they are very moreish and as far as treats go.. are on the healthier side as well. It’s sweet, salty, peanut buttery and as well as chocolatey.. the ultimate combo i think. I highly recommend making a double batch of these for the time that it takes. Dipping things in chocolate it a bit fiddly for my un...co hands but worth it if you love pretzels!! 10.01.2022 Throwback to last year: Lebanese Lamb Tart (It’s on the UK cookidoo so in filters untick Australia) I made the following substitutions - 400g of vegan mince instead of lamb... - 40g of hazelnuts instead of pinenuts - Coriander instead of mint - Double garlic and lots of parsley. I bought pomegranate molasses from @esntlingredient in Prahran and a fresh pomegranate from Prahran market to test out a different and easier way to get all the arils off. I love how delicious this is... have you tried this one?

07.01.2022 If you haven’t made these rice crisp bars from the Eat Well cookbook i highly recommend it. I used crunchy peanut butter for the nut paste and needed to add a fraction more chocolate. So delicious.. we’re down to 1 bar already... time to whip up some more. If you don’t have bar moulds you can also just pop it all in a tray and cut to pieces. Have you tried this one before?
