19.01.2022 It's been a long week with night duty to top it off. I suggested a date night to hubby because we were both keen for a change of scenery but then we didn't get around to organising a babysitter. So I decided to cook up some Indian using ingredients we already had and our girls enjoyed it so much that I almost felt guilty for having wanted to go out at all. TM6 Creamy coconut chicken curry, TM5 automated rice and Naan bread. All made in just over an hour (I only proved the Naan about half the time but it still worked ). 15.01.2022 I will never wash my fruit any other way! Check out all the gross stuff that came off my strawberries and blueberries with a good wash in the simmering basket! There's a good video you can search on how to do this but pretty much I just put in the simmering basket with fruit and then about 100ml or so of vinegar (I didn't measure it) and enough water to cover the fruit about halfway.... 4 mins, 37 degrees speed 4.5-5. 05.01.2022 Middle Eastern Chicken with Pearl Couscous. I have probably glanced past this recipe a million times on Cookidoo, because it's not something I'd normally make. But I LOVE a good virtual cooking experience to get me out of my comfort zone and try something different! Made this at 11am this morning on Zoom and it's a beautiful dinner tonight, the kids are loving it too! Best thing about this dish is the only 'different' thing I had to buy was the pearl couscous. 05.01.2022 When the kids want peanut butter on a Saturday morning but you're out! I will admit, I don't use the Cookidoo recipe, it's too chunky for our tastes. Instead I just pop in a bag or two of peanuts in the Thermy bowl, 60 secs/sp8, scrape down and add a dash of peanut oil and another 30 sec/sp9. Very smooth, no nasties, super quick to make and the kids love it!
