Why not come and see it in action this Sunday 25th October at the Club Open Day. We are situated in Kent Street in Rockingham and there is lots of FREE parking available. Tennis ball machines are a fantastic way to practice and improve your game, regardless of your skill level. The Spinfire Pro 2 (Version 2) makes it easy to practice a wid...e range of shots, test yourself with a variety of paces, spins and elevations, and build your mobility and fitness with practice drills. Here is some more information about this great machine; Internal movement Unlike most ball machines, which change the direction of the ball by moving the whole machine from side to side, the Spinfire Pro 2 moves internally. This allows for faster re-direction and makes shots less predictable. The internal parts are black to further disguise shot direction. Random modes With both horizontal and vertical random modes, balls can be delivered across the full width of the singles court with depth variation. The Spinfire Pro 2 can be set to deliver the same trajectory over and over or a variety of random trajectories. ‘Horizontal Random’ can be set to deliver balls across a narrow, medium or wide area. ‘Vertical Random’ delivers short or long balls in a random order. Both ‘Horizontal Random’ and ‘Vertical Random’ can be combined for a very realistic playing pattern. Two-line drills This feature delivers alternating forehands and backhands. It can be set to ‘wide’, ‘medium’ or ‘narrow’ to vary the degree of difficulty. The ‘wide’ setting makes you run from side to side, ‘narrow’ allows you to remain in the middle of the court, while ‘medium’ is between the two. You can also set the timing between each ball. Extreme topspin and slice capability Using counter rotating wheels, the Spinfire Pro 2 operates very quietly and can generate maximum topspin and slice if desired. Remote controlRemote control All functions can be controlled remotely, allowing the player to start or pause the machine and change functions without leaving their side of the court. 24.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, Next Wednesday the 16th December social tennis will commence at 1.00pm instead of the usual starting time. The reason we are having a later start is we are having a visit from the Premier Mark McGowan at 2.00pm Mr McGowan would like to see our completed renovations that the government made a considerable contribution towards enabling us to reach our goals.... It would be appreciated if as many members as possible could be at the club for the Premiers visit. A reminder also our Xmas lunch is on Friday 18th December after social tennis. 21.01.2022 Hello All, Due to dwindling number on Sunday afternoon's it has been decided to change the time to 9.00am. We are hoping people would prefer to play in the morning. Starting this Sunday 14th Feb. (You will still have time to make your loved ones breakfast for Valentines Day!!) Social Sunday Tennis $3.50 Members and $8 non Members. Everyone welcome!... The one exception is Sunday 21st February our Social Committee has planned an afternoon to coincide with the Men's Final at the Australian Open. Tennis will commence at 2.00pm until about 4.30 when the final starts. We will be serving Pizza's, Party Pies etc whilst we watch the final. The bar will be open. Cost is $10 members and $15 non members this includes your ball fees. Hope to see you all there and feel free to bring any friends along to watch the game.After the success of our Australia Day we hope this social event is as well attended. Also a reminder we are collecting "Cans for Cash". Thanks to Kath and Geoff Ward this is proving to be a profitable fundraiser so bring your cans and bottles along and put them in the green bin that has been provided for collection. 04.01.2022 OPEN DAY TOMORROW!! We will have the Speed Gun to record how fast you can serve. Come along and try and beat the worlds fastest serve by our very own Australian Sam Groth. The fastest male tennis serve ever recorded is 263.4 km/h (163.7 mph) in 2012 by Sam Groth of Australia. At ATP level, John Isner holds the ATP's official record for the fastest serve at 253 km/h (157.2 mph). How fast can you serve?
