25.01.2022 Unfortunately the wind was a bit too strong for the basketball hoop today and it’s done a 180 turn on us! However the game has been move to the Newly refurbished courts inside the Coolgardie Recreation Centre! See you at 4pm!

23.01.2022 Good afternoon community members. Thank you for your patience regarding the closure of the Kambalda pool yesterday (Thursday). We have resolved the issue quickly & the good news is that the pool will be open TODAY (Friday November 20) at 2pm.

22.01.2022 KAMBALDA AQUATIC FACILITY UPDATE As you are aware, an electrical fault has caused the Kambalda Aquatic Facility to unexpectedly close during this week of hot weather. Your safety and health is our priority and we apologise for the inconvenience this closure has caused.... A pool technician will be onsite tomorrow (Friday 20/11/2020) to assist in getting the facility back open as soon as possible.

22.01.2022 What is a total Fire Ban? A Total Fire Ban is declared on days when fires are most likely to threaten lives and property. This is because of predicted extreme fire weather or when there are already widespread fires and firefighting resources are stretched. Occasionally TFBs may be declared outside of a fire season (such as in May or June) due to other factors such as higher temperatures and expected strong winds preceding a storm front.... On a Total Fire Ban day, it is illegal to light an open-air fire or conduct any activity that could start a fire. You can find the full list of prohibited activities below. Some of these activities are prescribed in the Bush Fires Regulations 1954 meaning they can be carried out during a TFB, providing you comply with the conditions listed here. 22.01.2022 We can't wait to welcome you back into our Aquatic Facilities for the summer season! Remember that the Kambalda Aquatic Facility has a 260 patron limit, and the Coolgardie Pool will be limited to 190 persons. This is to protect the health and safety of our staff and community. The capacity limit will be monitored by staff at the entrance to each facility. The Shire of Coolgardie requests that patrons respect and plan for the capacity limit when visiting the facility.
