We have plenty of easy free parking too. The Devonshire Tea Box for two. 4 homemade scones, 2 jams, cream, strawberries and 2 Twinnings tea bags or your favorite loose leaf tea from our Tearoom selection - $26 The Sandwich Fingers Box... High Tea style assorted sandwiches, plus fairy bread if you have little ones - $26 The Sweet Treats Box A selection of slices, chocolates, biscuits plus juice boxes for the kiddies - $24 Or, one of each box to create a lunch and high tea at home - $70 for 3 boxes. All come in a white box with ribbons and a Mother's Day giftcard. The boxes are perfect to write messages of love or for young ones to decorate for their special Mum. We had to close the beautiful Shot Tower Historic Site on 26th March due to Covid and we can't wait to be re opening from Saturday 26th Sept around the Tower's 150th Anniversary. 04.01.2022 THE SHOT TOWER, TAROONA HAPPY 150th ANNIVERSARY The building of Taroona's iconic Shot Tower was completed 150 years ago and the first shot dropped on 8 September 1870 by builder, engineer, carpenter and architect - Joseph Moir. The Shot Tower Residence, also built by Mr Moir, is now 160 years old.... During our Covid closure time, and with great thanks to Parks and Wildlife and the awesome work done by Paradigm Constructions' David Davenport and his team, The Shot Tower Historic Site has undergone some necessary repairs and maintenance work including the repointing of stonework, a new bridge to the factory building, painting and new roofs to the Residence and the Shot Tower Factory building which is home to The Tower Tearoom, History Museum and Giftshop. From 8 September until Sunday night 13 September, the Shot Tower gate will be open from 2.30pm until 8.30pm for our local communities to drive through the car park and around the Residence (and exit from The Shot Tower's top car park), if popping in before this time, please park in our top car park and feel free to roam the grounds during the day to view the newly renovated site - it's looking great. In time the silver tin roofs will age beautifully. The Tower lights will also be on for anyone who may not have seen it's magnificent beauty under the nights' sky! Now for us to start on the interior of The Tower Tearoom, History Museum and Giftshop and we then hope to open for the September school holidays on the 26th.
