24.01.2022 NATIONAL SKIN CANCER AWARENESS WEEK 15-21 NOVEMBER, 2020 Did you know that Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world?... Here at The Skin Hospital, we specialise in the treatment of skin cancer for all skin cancer types, but we would prefer that our patients never got skin cancer in the first place. Australia has a harsh outdoor climate and while the sun smart message has been around for decades, skin cancer still accounts for 80% of cancer diagnosed each year. Australians aged 25-44 are the most likely to get burnt in the hottest part of the day and just one sun burn can lay the foundation for developing skin cancer. It’s National Skin Cancer Awareness Week and we’re reminding everyone that in addition to being sun smart, become familiar with your own skin and look for changes. Use our ABCDE Guide below to understand the signs and the correct way to check for skin cancer on your body. https://bit.ly/2Uv3xcq
