22.01.2022 Hi all! Here’s the start of the socks for the primary kids! I’ll get them all a 5 pack like these and some funky socks too! You can sneak one pack of funky socks on the side - these socks are $4 a pack in big W! $4 for 5 pairs! What a score!

20.01.2022 Here’s some of the kid socks I got from Big W! I aim to have a pair of funky socks for every kid in the primary school! That’s only 24 - thanks to those who donated - again these were funded by you!!

15.01.2022 So proud of my Doubleview Dolphins GirlGuide unit who today collectively ran 258 laps to raise money for socks! Such a fantastic efforf! The girls were shocked by the power point I showed them of pictures from Jakarta last year and just really wanted to help! Running til their little faces were as red and strawberries atm!! If kids can do something remarkable why can’t you?

14.01.2022 Today 12 dozen socks arrive at Sekolah Maleo (144 pairs)! Thanks to Gregor he very generously was able to buy socks and send them directly to the school! We’ve had reports that the socks are of very good quality and Have been thanked immensely by The school on behalf of the children! These socks are going to the senior school students this week! Amazing work and getting Astrid (the chairwoman’s) reaction filled me up with such warm fuzzies! Thanks Gregor, you’re amazing!

13.01.2022 Hello All - because we’ve had a lot of donations a funds raised I have decided to extend the giving circle. On September 17 my Girl Guides are completing in a lapathon - they’ll donate socks and for every five laps they do - a packet of socks will be donated... I have a funny feeling we will get lots of kid sized socks donated as I mentioned the campaign two weeks ago and last week some girls came with socks already! Before they even had a note!! What magical little hearts! A...s Maleo kids are 11+ and likely in adult sizes and we have had a few kid sizes donated already at least 25 packets will also go to Sekolah Bisa - I have chatted with the teacher and this has been appropriately arranged! They have 24 students currently with 11 being boys and 13 being girls so we will also get some fun kid socks for them! (Likely more than 25 packets tho with everyone’s generous hearts!) These socks where donated by one of my lovely little girl guides - I won’t share names of the guide donators but exciting times ahead!

11.01.2022 Zoe donated these socks today! Zoe is another student, with a big heart and she also visited Jakarta last year and met the kids who will be receiving the socks! Thanks Zoe you’re amazing!!

07.01.2022 Last night the socks I ordered online with some of the campaign money arrived! All five packs of socks! From bonds outlet so definitely good quality! So many sockkkkkssss. Thanks to those who donated money you e helped fund these socks!

06.01.2022 Some of the kids at Maleo are fortunate enough to have access to phones; I’ll make it clear that just because a kid has access to a phone, it doesn’t mean they don’t live in poverty. For starters this is the 21st century, secondly we don’t know the families situation, it’s likely one phone shared among many, or access to very old smart phones - regardless this child from Maleo reached out to me to say thanks and I wanted to share it because she’s really thanking all you guys for caring! You’re the ones who’ve donated! So thanks all! You’re helping make a small difference!

03.01.2022 I’ve just had an absolutely AMAZING and MASSIVE donation of socks dropped off to me from Jessie Cuthbert - socks for all different ages and genders! Absolutely amazing and has helped us lift our primary kids socks parcel off the ground as well!

01.01.2022 AND POSTED! Thankyou to all the wonderful souls who either shared the campaign or donated in some way! Maleo have over 730 pairs of socks headed there way and 128 toothbrushes that’s one for each student! Bisa have enough socks for each child to have six new pairs each! I’ll keep you posted on arrival but so pleased with the outcome and couldn’t have done it without you guys! Bless you all x Oh and thank goodness Natasha was there to help me post otherwise I would have spent like 2.5 hours! What a dilemma posting was!!
