There have been SO many ups and downs through it all. Whether that was hearing the good news that we had been invited to share the game around the US. Or the lows of COVID wiping out our entire 2020 calendar, forcing us to essentially build an entire new business from scratch.... I’m so glad we documented the whole journey. 17.01.2022 Farewell Habitat. My first little side project sold and settled today. I remember finding this little shoebox piece of real estate when I was 12 months into my consulting business. Those who know that part of the journey would know that I wasn’t exactly ‘killing it’ in business. But I wanted a little office to call my own. So instead of renting, I stumbled across this little wedding dress shop for sale and managed to scrap together some money as a deposit. I dreamt up a creative boardroom, used it for my own meetings and rented it out when I wasn’t using it. It ended up being a nice little business. But, it’s time to focus on the next project and maybe a sea change #habitatcoworking

11.01.2022 Today is my 30th birthday And quite naturally, when you hit a ‘milestone’ birthday is causes you to reflect. In this case, what the last decade has looked like. It’s safe to say that my 20’s were FULL of life. I married my high school sweetheart. Welcomed our two daughters into the world.... Travelled around Germany thanks to my sales job at VW. Then fell in love with business. Most of my 20’s were about building and selling businesses. I got to see lots of the world which was an amazing blessing. We bought property. Sold property. Wrote and published half a dozen books. Made new life long friends. Said goodbye to others. Bought our dream family home and discovered what it’s like to have a pet dog (the best). My team and I created ALOT of stuff. Courses, videos, documentaries, podcasts, trainings, writings... We’ve gone on to share those learnings with hundreds of companies and nearly 10,000 people directly. It’s crazy to think about. And upon reflecting on it all, one saying has come alive more than any other: We overestimate what we can achieve in a year, but underestimate what we can accomplish in a decade And at a time like this, when our yearly plans may have been thrown out the window, I want to remind you (and me) that we can accomplish so much over the next 9.
