19.01.2022 Leisure Centre Update // New Umbrellas As you may have noticed, we have been busy replacing the original umbrellas with new ones over the Christmas period at the Leisure Centre. We are happy to report works have now finally been completed!

19.01.2022 In light of the developing COVID-19 situation and the latest government restrictions, Cafe Sofi has had to temporarily close their doors until further notice. We hope to see the wonderful team at Cafe Sofi back serving The Surrounds very soon.

18.01.2022 The Surrounds Recreation Parks // Re-Opened! Gold Coast City Council have now eased restrictions on playgrounds and barbecue areas. Central Park and Xenia Park have been re-opened and can once again be enjoyed by the community. Remember to be safe, practice social distancing and sanitise regularly when playing this weekend.

15.01.2022 Halloween at The Surrounds was a great success last year. Many of our residents got out their spookiest costumes, trick or treated and celebrated the day. Exactly what living in a community is all about! This year, it's difficult to hang out in large groups together but we can still make Halloween spooktacular! The Surrounds Leisure Centre have created a number of activities that will be available to the community to make this holiday a whole lot of fun.... We encourage all our residents to get involved! 09.01.2022 Resident Update // Leisure Centre Operations The Queensland Government have now commenced Stage 2 of their roadmap to easing of community and business restrictions. Following this announcement last night, we are currently working with the Leisure Centre Management team on a transition plan to safely re-open the Centre for residents use. We anticipate to have formal communication out this week, which will provide in detail the Leisure Centre COVID-19 usage guidelines.... Any queries in the meantime please contact the Leisure Centre Management team or The Surrounds Sales Centre.

06.01.2022 New Surrounds Park Officially Opens! A big thank you to Cr. Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden Division 7 City of Gold Coast and William Owen-Jones Division 2, Gold Coast for joining us yesterday to officially open the newest park in The Surrounds! Celadon Park is located in Stage 3 of the estate and features all-ability play equipment including a spinner, orb climb, spinning see-saw, and fairy-tale system created to instigate imaginary play and hours of fun.... A kick-a-bout area is adjoined by a fun, interactive bike track designed to help kids of all ages to learn to how ride a bike. The track incorporates a play component with traffic signs and play equipment including a petrol station for refueling plus a small pump track component.

06.01.2022 Attention Surrounds Residents // Temporary Leisure Centre Closure The Leisure Centre Management Team will be enforcing a temporary closure to The Leisure Centre effective as of 12 noon today, as per the direction from our Federal Government. This is inclusive of all Classes, Services and Functions that have been previously supported or scheduled at the Centre. As it stands, all current memberships will be paused and your two year complimentary period will resume when the Cent...re reopens. This is an unprecedented period for us all and enforcing these measures are paramount to safeguard the health and safety of both residents and employees. 06.01.2022 Cafe Sofi Update // Leisure Centre Regrettably we would like to advise that the team at Caf Sofi have decided they will no longer be trading at the Leisure Centre. They will certainly be missed by the community and we wish them all the very best. The caf is a wonderful asset enjoyed by residents and locals, and we are actively looking for a new operator to take over the space. ... We will update the community when we have more information to share.

01.01.2022 New Surrounds Park // Opening July 2020! We are thrilled to announce construction has commenced on The Surrounds newest park located in Stage 3D! The new park will feature play equipment suitable for all ages and abilities including a spinner, orb climb, spinning see-saw and fairy-tale system. There will also be shade sails, a shelter, park seats and a generous kickabout area.... The park will also feature a bike track with the incorporation of traffic signs and play equipment, creating a fun environment for kids learning how to ride. This will be the 4th recreation park in the estate alongside the Central Park, Xenia Park and Lovat St Park, all with distinctly different offerings for the community to enjoy. The park is expected to open by the end of July. Stay tuned for updates!

Visit Porter Davis in The Surrounds Designer Display Village today between 10am and 1pm for a complimentary barista made coffee.
