12.01.2022 Be extra careful about opening email attachments, particularly ones that purport to be about a parcel delivery. This latest virus, Cryptolocker, encrypts your files and even if the virus is removed you cannot decrypt them unless you pay the 'ransom' - typically $400 or more. The only way to get your files back will be if they are backed up to external media, but if you have an auto-backup like WD Smartware, your backup will become encrypted as well. The solution is to have a secondary backup of important data that is not permanently connected to your computer.
