16.01.2022 WARNING - Long post - Not a rant but a thank you. Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday. I received messages from so many people I have met over the years be it through schooling, work, football, music or my hobbies, that has put this last week into perspective for me. Not only was the 29th of September this year my birthday but it marked my last day of a 12 year career in the Australian Army. ... When I look back at where my journey has taken me to now, I hold no regrets. I have met some of the best damn people that I have the honour to call mates, I have had some damn good some bad and many interesting experiences and I have got to see places of the world only few have. I want to thank everybody I have met along the way. Whether it be working with each other, a beer at a gig or just a quick hello as we crossed paths. Everyone has impacted me in one way or another and I feel my life is better for that. When one chapter ends another begins and I am damn excited to be able to chase my dream with some damn good mates. Sure we don’t know what the future may hold but as I always say, I’d rather die old and knowing than old and wondering. So tonight, now we have moved house and unpacked I’ll be sitting back, having a rum and raising a glass to all you legends out there that have helped me along the way. 11.01.2022 Hi everybody, TQ here. As the chapter in my life of me being a soldier in the Australian Army draws to an end and the new musician chapter starts, it has me reminiscing on the past 13 years. So this is an appreciation post until the final day comes, to the special people that were involved with a show we recently just played. We all wear different boots in our life that can tell some damn good stories and some very sad ones too. Some for working, some for drinking and some fo...r comfort. On the same hand, or head in this case, the same case can be made for hats. Last month myself and the boys donated our time and played a show up at Gympie at Veterans Retreat, for a cause that I am personally proud to have been a part of. At Beat the Retreat there where some veteran owned and operated company stalls that were supporting the event and had set up to show case their goods. Amongst Way Out Back and The Veterans Daughter was First Strike Promotions. This is an appreciation post for them and to say thank you. I was lucky enough to have been sent a gift from First Strike Promotion, as seen in the pictures. It’s a bullet shaped coffee thermos with our bands logo on the side.
