24.01.2022 Last weekend 2 Veloroos completed a virtual challenge on Zwift. JA was doing a virtual Everest attempt as part of the InternationElles’ Tour de France challenge. Sheryl joined her for some moral support and ended up completing a half Everest herself. They have now joined the Hells 500 Hall of Fame.

21.01.2022 We don’t just ride bikes and do triathlons ! Over the last couple of months a few of the Veloroos joined our cycling and Tri buddies to form a netball team, The Legends of Lockdown, in a summer netball competition at Heffron. As we aren’t competitive at all , we are absolutely delighted to have played in the finals last night and won! Now, what shall we do next.....?

20.01.2022 Another epic weekend of cycling with old and new friends. This time India and JA hit the gravel roads doing the Thunderbolts adventure with some people who love to explore. Never have we seen so many smiley drivers and motorcyclists waving as they went past (probably thinking we were complete nutters)! The scenery was absolutely insane. Photos don’t do it justice! Thanks Graveleur for a superb weekend with some gnarly descents and big climbs.

Unfortunately @sezzaannecycles and @sherylrotondo had to pull out due to technical issues. 14.01.2022 We’ve got a fun weekend and week of cycling adventures coming up. Tomorrow Nicole will be leading one of the groups heading to Berry for the Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember in aid of Dementia. Sarah Anne and Sheryl will be Everesting in Jindabyne- that’s 8848m of climbing on one hill, in one day. JA is taking off on a 2 day gravel adventure for the weekend and on Wednesday India heads to the Gold Coast for the 2020 AusCycling Masters Road Nationals Championships- that’s an individual time trial, crit and road race. The Sydney girls cruised around Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, while the Snowy Mountains contingent got out into the high country. So good to all ride together. Unfortunately the team couldn’t make it over to France this year because of Covid so we’ll be jumping on our trainers to tap out a few kms on @rgtcycling and @gozwift. 05.01.2022 What an epic weekend! Nic completed Bondi2Berry, a 155km ride, helping to raise $$ for Dementia. Sarah Anne and Sheryl Everested on their trainers as the winds were too high to do it safely outside. That’s 8848m of climbing on Alpe du Zwift! JA took to the gravel, riding 230km over the weekend through some stunning countryside with some epic climbs and descents. Pippa took Mawson out for some fun mountain biking adventures and Burdie headed to Jindy to cheer the girls and support her friend doing the Coast to Kosciusko run- a 240km ultramarathon. Hope you all had a great weekend whatever you got up to!

Well, if you love cycling, especially hills, are female and love pushing boundaries, then join this amazing group of girls who are setting out to break the record for the most amount of women Everesting at the same time. Born out of lockdown’s need to reinvent your training goals, this gang of Melbourne women have now inspired others globally (and a few Veloroos who are joining from afar). Currently women make up only 7% of the people that have completed the 8848m climbing challenge. If you have the heart, legs and lungs for this kind of crazy then join the event! Choose your hill and let’s help the girls from VIC increase that 7%
