22.01.2022 Andrea is home this weekend and the plan is to have the 1906 Cadillac running - she is thinking she’ll be driving it? I’ll be happy just to have it purring like a kitten?? Either way it has spark, gas & compression so it my cam timing is correct it should run?

19.01.2022 Hi Ashley The mechanicals have been completed for quite some time, just need to give myself a jab in the rids to get on with it. Too busy with other people’s projects

14.01.2022 Progress is proceeding on our new enclosed trailer, after lots of debate (between Chris & I) and some advice & experience from friends both here and in the USA we think we are on a winning design that will be light and easy to tow. With a total weight of under 800kg we are well under the 3500kg towing capacity of our tow vehicle even with the 1918 on board so a good result all round. All the cars except the Black which is too tall will fit, so no more open trailering to tours. Hopefully pick it up next week

14.01.2022 I could not sleep thinking about how the Caddy would look, so very early this morning I started to drop the body back on

11.01.2022 Not that today was a bad day but as the old sailors said Red sky at night Sailors delight - tomorrow promises to be a cracker!

09.01.2022 Aust outback touring at its best Hot days, cool nights, red dirt and empty roads - a perfect outback 1&2 cylinder tour. Thanks Qld vcca, graham abd Irene dinged and the great rally committee for a wonderful tour !!!!

09.01.2022 Old fashion repairs on the 1913 Caddy Ute So in the current panel repair world, if you need to do a repair on a panel - then beat it, bog (Bondo) it, sand it, highfill it and paint it and no-one will know the difference! If you don’t have the luxury of Painting then you need to turn to other thoughts. So in my case we have a new panel turned 90 degrees in two directions and welded, but is to remain bear metal. Your choices - spend 10’s of hours sitting with a sharp steel r...od, an old fashioned slapper and a file or turn back the skill set to the turn of the century before last and do as the classic tradesman did, lead wipe the section. Now I confess I’ve not had a lot of experience with lead wiping but I think that this is a fantastic result for this project!

08.01.2022 Wonderful way to spend a Saturday touring the Mudgee region in our 1918 Cadillac for charity. Thank you Cudgegong Cruisers for organising the Can Cruise run for Cancer Assist once again, fantastic job!

07.01.2022 We spent some time getting the recently imported 1907 Black sorted and it is purring like a kitten

06.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone and I hope 2021 bring a brighter and calm year for all. Traditionally we spend the Xmas-NY break on a family project. This year it was to be going over our 1910 Maytag Mason however between dock go slows, CV19 and and quarantine procedures it is still not released (we learned years ago to go with the flow with Customs & Quarantine processes) So instead we completed an on going project I’ve been working on and off for 3 years, the complicated twin muffler system on the 1906 four cylinder Cadillac. It was the last major puzzle in the mechanical restoration and with the body now in final paint, it’s restoration is on the down hill run

06.01.2022 This weekends 1 & 2 cylinder tour was great fun, this is Rob Duffy and I ironing the bugs out of the 1902 Rambler

06.01.2022 Ok time to pay for the fun! We need to move either or both of these 1916 Cadillac V8’s Make me a reasonable offer and one or the other or both could be yours

05.01.2022 With 3 new cars set to arrive 1910 Maytag-Mason (more on that later) a 1909 Brush & a 1907 Maxwell project for a client, we need to move something on. So it’s time to sell the 1916 Cadillac seven passenger touring restoration project. We were asking $32k for it but a sensible offer will take it away. A fantastic project and a rare veteran V8. Mechanically very complete, excellent rust free body and virtually dent free also. Comes with original side curtains One of the great ...things about these cars is the level of information available - repair manuals, parts books & instructions etc & there are both some NOS parts and some spares out there if you are prepared to look. So if you have an interest in a large rare Veteran V8 Cadillac, call or email [email protected]

05.01.2022 Finally got back to doing some work on the 1906 model H Cadillac. Mechanically it is all but set to get running the body has been a hold back however I think we’ve got that licked! The aim is to have it fired up Sunday week and have the body finished and bolted down by Christmas. Then just the upholstery to finish it

04.01.2022 Final got back to the H Caddy inbetween fiddley bit on the 13 Caddy Ute and some work on the Federal truck keeping me busy. I again played with the float level trying to get it to run a little leaner, and after the push rods bedded in have re adjusted them so is runs a little quieter even though is dose not have any muffler yet! But it runs strong, strats easy and I can crank it... Hopefully Saturday I’ll sort out the band adjustment on the 3 speed planetary transmission and take it for a drive.

01.01.2022 Great weekend in Ballarat, Vic, on the Pre 1905 Pioneers Tour. Vehicles included: 2 x 1898 - a Benz & a Renault 3 x 1900 3 x 1901 Us with the 1902 Elmore and Rob Duffy with the 1902 Rambler... And 23 other Pioneer motorists! It threatened snow, sleet, and drenching rain and whilst it was cold - very cold - the rest of the weather held off and it was good touring. Thanks Greg & Denise for another fabulous weekend.

01.01.2022 This is what it looked like in the ‘80’s before it was totally dismantled every nut, bolt & pin
