20.01.2022 Let’s talk makeup This is a great example of why foundation should never be applied too close to the lash line, because even if it says oil free - it’s not always the truth! I tell all my clients to come to their lash appointments, whether it’s a full set or Infill with clean & makeup free lashes - this means This includes: foundation tinted moisturizers eye makeups - shadow, liner, mascara etc... skin serums sunscreen. If you can daily your lashes will last longer naturally. Because like everything with gravity, these products will naturally slide down our face and into the lash line and if not cleaned properly will leave a coating on the natural lash making it difficult for the extension and natural lash to bond correctly - and if extensions are already on, it will completely break down the glue resulting in poor retention. Oil = death to lash extensions - so why would you destroy something you’ve paid good money for? Remember Lash retention is a shared responsibility, 80/20 - 80% of that being the client. So follow the correct aftercare and you’ll enjoy your lash extensions.

Do your research, please be prepared to pay decent money for lashes. ... This poor clients natural lashes were completely trashed after going to a lash tech based in Geelong. The lash tech used oversized lashes, way too much glue and stacked them! A properly trained lash tech assesses your eyelashes condition and applies lashes accordingly. There’s a reason why we are constantly training in this industry, and it’s not to have clients walking around like this

11.01.2022 Do you wash your lashes? A big part of extension aftercare is cleansing and making sure our lash lines stay clear of build up so we can maintain the health and integrity of our eyes. Did you know a clogged or infected hair follicle can kill the actual hair follicle? Yikes!... Lashing on dirty lashes is not possible. The adhesive would stick to the build up instead of your natural lash. This causes huge retention issues because the extensions will fall off or they just won’t stick at all! Your lashes will stay on better and longer if you take the time to keep them clean. So give those lil lashes a bath !
