12.01.2022 The idea that we in Australia live in a "secular" nation is false! We live in a "democratic" nation where everyones views contribute on their merits. Thus, we ...have never had a doctrine of Separation of Church and State, rather, we have always had a cooperation between Church and State in our democracy. This means that the view of a Christian leader is not simply dismissed because its proponent is religious, but that their is evaluated on its merits. Therefore, when a Church leader speaks out against non-life promoting policy agendas, they are not merely "forcing their religion onto others" they are defending one of the most basic human rights of all people regardless of their religion the right to live!
