24.01.2022 We got a special going on for our AMAZING WRAP Course! One-to-One ONLINE. WRAP is a no-nonsense Course that meets you where you are at in your life right now. You will learn no hokus-pokus or magic spells but rather down-to-earth, pragmatic and realistic tools and strategies designed by you for you. Through sincere conversations and thoughtful reflections you will get to know yourself a lot better. You will be introduced to strengths you may have forgotten or never kne...w you had and walk away feeling equipped to handle the challenges that life inevitably brings. You will be thrilled you did WRAP. Do the course on your terms, in your time and from the comfort of your own home. It takes 7.5 hours to get through a WRAP One-to-One but how those hours are scheduled is up to you and your facilitator to arrange to ensure you get the most out of your time The course price is usually $460-$600 (dependent on household income). We provide you with a beautiful and especially developed booklet in which to write all your notes and clever ideas you will get throughout the course for easy access later. These times of challenge is an ideal time to do WRAP - both to best equip you to get through it here and now - and to set yourself up well for when things go back to "normal". We made a video about WRAP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgZjUX2glbQ&feature=youtu.be And our website has lots of info on WRAP too: www.wellnessinitiative.com.au Or send us an email on: [email protected]

22.01.2022 You have probably noticed the physical impact of being dehydrated: dry mouth, itchy, head ache... BUT how about the mental/emotional impact? Does your mood change if you forget to drink enough water?? I noticed in myself recently that I get very cranky and easily feel overwhelmed when I dont drink enough water. And it makes me have a bad day. Do YOU drink enough water? Or do you think lack of water could be affecting how you generally feel? Sometimes a simple change to your day will change how you feel in your life
19.01.2022 Highlighting our amazing new team of Peer Support Workers in the coming weeks... We are so proud to have them on our Team! We know they will bring meaningful positive change to many peoples lives - maybe even yours. Meet Kate: "Peer support can be the spark that ignites real recovery and wellness. I live and breathe mental health recovery every single day, as recovery is not always linear, it is very common to have ups and downs. What makes me really tick, is sharing my experience with others, and giving people who are battling similar things, a healthy dose of hope. I truly do believe that anyone can move forward in the process of recovery, regardless of where their starting point is."
19.01.2022 This is Your life. Remember to live for You. Remember to make room for You. You matter. You do
19.01.2022 Our mission to spread the word about this course - the WRAP Course - is what started The Wellness Initiative. WRAP changed (and continues to significantly affect) our lives, and we journey to Ireland every 2nd year to keep our Advanced Level Accreditation up to date because we JUST LOVE IT! And its worth the effort - a thousand times over! In this video we are trying to convey what its about! And were basically trying to convince you to give it a go! We currently run WRAP online one-to-one. https://youtu.be/YgZjUX2glbQ
16.01.2022 "Have you tried switching it Off and On again?"
15.01.2022 I dont know about you...? But I have never learned this much (!) this fast (!) ever! And I do not mean new skills like playing musical instrument, speaking a new language; and I surely havent gotten in the best shape of my life running around the neighbourhood and lifting weights from my couch. BUT! (and thats a big BUT!) I have learned what I need and what I *dont need* to spend my precious time on going forward in my life, and thats my silver lining. I would be very grateful to hear what you have learned? Have you found a silver lining in this otherwise challenging time?
14.01.2022 Very relevant.
12.01.2022 Some of you (myself included) may be currently juggling 3 roles: "Full time stay at home parent", "Employed working from home" and on top; fulfilling the role as "Teacher". We were never meant to do all this at once. Its ok to find this super hard. Because IT IS! Give yourself a break - weather that being a mental pat on the back and a deep breath, hiding for an hour in the bathroom, letting the TV do the teaching for the 10th time today or venting to your friend on the phone. You are not alone <3
10.01.2022 We dont have time for everything. How do we find enough time to do the things that matter? By stopping doing what doesnt.
10.01.2022 Wondering if fewer people will answer a HOW ARE YOU? with a *SIGH* BUSY!! as we transition back to our "normal"... If coronavirus has made you slow down, are you going to speed up again??
10.01.2022 This is a hard one... Can you *let go* of fears around what other people think of you? Can you *control* what other people think of you? Humans tend to spend lots of energy worrying about things we cant control.... What do you do to tame fear around things you cant control? A good first step can be to name the fear and acknowledge its presence: "I am afraid of..........and thats okay."
09.01.2022 We hold the belief that there is always hope. And always possibility for positive change.
09.01.2022 Wishing you a good long weekend making the best of it (despite it all being so different). We still got chocolate! We count that as a win!
08.01.2022 Are you currently having a lot fewer hugs due to social distancing? Maybe non at all? A nurse who lives alone told me the other day that she and a colleague both put a gigantic plastic bag over their heads at work to give each other a safe hug...(!) Sure we can "stay connected" online and by chatting 2 metres apart but how do we replace connection like a hug? And what impact does it have to go without? Hugging can make you feel vulnerable and connected to what you are feeling... - and connected to what someone else is feeling. I tend to build up stronger and stronger "protective walls" when I dont have hugs to tear them down. Pre-coronavirus I would sometimes avoid hugs to avoid feeling that vulnerability of a hug. However, having experienced these social distancing practices, when this all over... I WILL HUG. A lot. I may feel scared sometimes. But I will do it anyways. FYI if hugging is still missing from your life Post-coronavirus, there are professional people out there who provide platonic cuddling and hugging. I think thats pretty cool.
06.01.2022 Are you more busy or less busy in these times of Coronavirus and isolation? Personally, I am not sure... my time is spent so differently, and I am trying to learn as much as I can from this experience. I FEEL less busy though... I feel calmer, more in the moment, and am really enjoying not having to be anywhere at certain time as much, not being in busy traffic or crowds... I do not miss the rush. I feel like I am living my life a bit more rather than being a manager of it, if you know what I mean? What about you? What have you learned/realised so far?
05.01.2022 Seems about right!

03.01.2022 How come we beat ourselves up over mistakes we make despite having acted to the best of our knowledge and ability in the moment? Its not really fair, is it?
01.01.2022 Create your Post Coronavirus Vision! ***Homeschooling idea!*** OR ***Idea just for you!*** We miss our Vision Boarding Workshops But creating a Vision Board is a really fun idea to do with your kids while you are at home. Or by yourself as well. Ideas for Vision Board Themes with a bit of structure that most could do:... 1. A collection of pictures that make you feel joyful, hopeful and excited! 2. A combined family activity bucket list with pictures that inspire you to have fun together (at home right now / post coronavirus outings). 3. A collection of images that ooze calm, serenity, a sense of peace and hope. Whats special about making Vision Board in a group is that it can truly spark conversation about what we value and want to prioritise going forward, and you can talk about how you can support each other in making it happen! There is only one rule when it comes to Vision Boarding: Looking at your Vision Board needs to make you feel POSITIVE. It shouldnt make you feel sad about "what is not" but rather spark a sense of hope, joy, excitement for the future... All you will need is some magasines (or prints from the internet even)... scissors, glue and something to stick it it all to! Simplified version for very young kids: My son (5 years old) enjoyed flipping through old Rolling Stones magasines and simply cutting out pictures he really liked and felt drawn to (for whatever reason). And he felt really proud looking at the final result. And as a parent if was fun to get a bit of insight into why he picked what he picked... HAVE FUN!
