24.01.2022 A little bit of Josh. :)

24.01.2022 Hello everyone.. I thought some of you might like to know that Morgy and I have now both found new jobs.. So I guess things will hopefully start improving again soon.. It's a fair milestone for us considering the start we had to this year. I am not sure what to do with the page now.. but I don't think I will pull it down.. would seem a shame... I often take a peek back hear to reflect. Well we hope your all well. I wonder how many of you are missing the Whaletale?

19.01.2022 To all our friends and supporters. Wow how time flys! It has been close to a year since we were forced to close the doors. We certainly didnt see the same weather this time around. Our move into town was finally achieved after the sale of our home.( not keen to do it again in a hurry! Lol) We are always reminded of our time @ WetSide - Water Education Park everytime we drive by.. We notice that the restaurant is STILL empty and that much of my ( "possessed") equipment remain...s on site.. :/ it raises alot of emotion. I believe the whole turn of events now rest very heavily on the executive staff of Wide Bay Water and the Fraser Coast Council and trully reflects the gross miss management an incompitent politics that will continue to cast its dreary shadow over the entire complex. So much was achieved by us whilst we were there.. It was a very complicated and agonizingly slow process.. But we believe we achieved more than anyone could have..Only to have the rug swiped from under us from the newly apointed CEO at that time. Oh well.. Time will only only expose the extent of gross incompitence and incredible waste of money that this giant white tax payers elephant hemorages every single day. The longer this goes on the more outragous it will be! They must be getting quite nervous by now. Lol On an up note.. We have recognized that we did evrything we could have and can be proud that we gave it our best. Our family is managing and we are getting on with life. I have now begun re-persuing my musical ambition which has been very enjoyable so far. So its hopefully onwards and upwards from here on. Take care everyone. We hope your all well and enjoying the fruits of life :) See more

18.01.2022 From Australia Day, It will have been 2 years since Cyclone Oswald, Wide Bay Water Corperation and the Fraser Coast Regional Council unceremoniously ended our business. Yes 2 years! Without a single enquiry from any councillor nor from WBW since then. Quite frankly, we are absolutely disgusted about they way both WBW and FCRC and government have conducted themselves in relation to circumstances. I would like the community to ask FCRC how much their Water Park operational Cont...ract is valued at since they have squired it from WBW? We were contracted to operate the water park in conjunction with the restaurant leasehold in 2011.-2012 financial year.. We know how much it costed us to operate it. I wonder if they are doing it cheaper than we did! We also hope that we might get paid for our illuminated sign on the roof which by the way has been left on for 2 years at rate payers expense. Today we learn from an article in the Chonicle that a local developer will be leasing the building from Council. Despite the misfortunes that we encountered, we believe that we do sincerely wish him the best of luck.

06.01.2022 It has been a while so we would like to send a big hello out there to everyone who supported us. We hope you are all well and still missing us. lol Here is the latest.. Guess there might be interesting times ahead. Whisper has it that someone is in discussion with the powers that be in relation to the restaurant. We dont know if there is any truth to the matter but it does surprise us if true, because no one has come forward to speak to us yet which we figured might happen so...oner or later. We hope at least that they dont fall victim to the political & legal dangers that we encountered. So if anyone knows who these people are ( if they exist) try and send them our way. It might just save them a lot of heart ache. We hope Wide Bay Water & Council are quite happy with themselves. It seems they have lost very little sleep in relation to the financial ruin our family has gone through. It seems to have backfired evicting us after those floods & storms.. a few months behind in rent has now blown out to over 10 months of no income at all from their non existant tennants... not to mention all the jobs that went and the dismantling of an entire business with that clever decision. As it turned out, the government also offered absolutly zero assistance. Go figure hey. It has all been a mind boggling episode to say the very least. In the end we must just carry on, turn the page and go forward. We are both well in spirit and are preparing to move over Christmas as our house has sold. We are certainly looking forward to new beginnings in 2014, We wish you all well and thank you again for the wonderfull times that we did have with one and all. Chow for now. See more
