25.01.2022 Another happy 'Spring Cleanser' **** Thanks so much Sonia for your help with the spring cleanse I was feeling stuck in a rut and drinking too much wine, and eating too many of the wrong things..from our conversations and your helpful emails I felt motivated to make healthier choices and also to exercise more regularly. It made me rethink how I used to graze, snack and eat the wrong things.. I'm feeling healthier and slowly losing weight - just in time for summer!... Melissa

15.01.2022 *Local, Seasonal Produce Series : Pears* . Local businesses and farmers need our support more than ever at the moment, so it’s a great time to shop local ! . Three popular pears here in Oz at the moment are:... . Pakham’s Triumph sweet, rich and juicy Beurre Bosc sweet, buttery and firm Corella/Forelle fragrant, sweet and juicy . Pears are especially rich in folate, vitamin C, copper, and potassium. They’re also a good source of polyphenol antioxidants. Pears are an excellent way to up our soluble and insoluble fibre intake, which are essential for digestive health. . Eaten whole, with a handful of nuts, they make a great snack. It’s also easy to add them to your favourite dishes, such as porridge, salads, and smoothies. . Pears can be roasted or poached, and pair nicely with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Cheese like Gouda and brie, and ingredients like lemon and chocolate also complement the pear very well. . However you choose to eat them, remember to leave the skin on your pear to get the most nutrients out of them! . . What’s your favourite type of pear? See more
