09.01.2022 I have always been drawn to this blue. I don’t know why. It is such a rich colour - as a pigment it was derived from crushed lapis lazuli. Gorgeous, gorgeous colour. I find myself trying to create it.... But the lustre I yearn for can only be found on hard surfaces or high sheen fabrics - silk for example. Even my car is kind of this colour . I’m dyeing this week - I’ll post some results - or pieces in progress.
