25.01.2022 It’s Spring , today was warm and the sun was shining. We decided to move to our balcony and make the most of the beautiful weather. I’m getting a @vennecolcoton 8/2 warp ready for dyeing and Luke is measuring out Australian @fullcirclefibres cotton fibre. Sharing these moments is bliss. Do you craft outside? 25.01.2022 Limited edition yarn Ramie / Cotton We quietly added this earthy combination to the website. A blend of 50% ramie and 50% long staple cotton, this combo offers softness, breathability, texture and grip. Spun from a combination of ramie (also know as nettle) bast fibres and Turkish long-staple cotton. Available in 500g cones and 100g skeins. Ne 8/2 in size measuring 700m/100g... Nettle is a plant grown around the word with the ramie variety being the common commercially grown crop. The use of the nettle fibre is increasing in popularity due to it being less resource-intensive crop requiring less water and pesticides than many cotton crops. Nettle fibres are long (measuring up to 50mm), strong and hollow. This hollow characteristic makes the nettle fibres naturally insulating and breathable. The nettle fibre used in this combo is bast, the cotton is long staple, this results is a natural slubby yarn that offers a good amount of strength but is not as strong as a 100% cotton yarn. This blend lends itself to weft over warp. This yarn is part of our limited edition range, so grab it while it lasts.

25.01.2022 Dandelion Oh Dandelion If your in our group you may have heard about our fibre release happening soon... we revealed we have dandelion fibre coming.... Not only do we have dandelion fibre but this shiny 50% dandelion / 50% tencel laceweight yarn. This yarn has a beautiful lustre, and drape. It’s a great vegan alternative to silk. Dandelion/Tencel is part of our limited edition range.

23.01.2022 New Fibre 100% Peppermint Shiny, strong 100% peppermint yarn. This is a viscose yarn made from the peppermint plant. The yarn is wet spun to provide a smooth finish with beautiful drape. Peppermint has antibacterial properties, is moisture absorbent and dyes up using fibre reactive dyes. Like Tencel and other viscose yarns Peppermint has little stretch. 21.01.2022 Today neutral colours are calling me. What a calming bunch this is! This is @vennecolcoton mercerised cottons and are great for weaving and hand stitching. They are Nm 20/2 in size and are available on 100g and 12g mini spools to suit your project. I love how shiny they are! What will you create with them? 16.01.2022 Thick Lavender Yarn - New Arrival!!! This is one we have been planning for a while and oh are we excited. Made from 100% lavender this yarn has a beautiful lustre with a lovely drape. It’s thicker than most of our specialty weaving yarns and can be woven, knitted or crocheted up. This lavender is Nm 5/2 in size measuring 451m/100g. It’s available as 100g skeins or 500g cones. 15.01.2022 Have you seen the hand dyed Malabrigo Nube? The ultra soft merino tops spin up into such a beautiful yarn. I’ve also seen some talented customers felting up some amazing creations. Each skein contains 4.6m (5yds) of hand dyed merino and weight approximately 113g. You can spin the Nube by hand using an drop spindle (Louet Top Whirl shown) or your favourite spinning wheel.... 05.01.2022 Busy studio day today! Venne Organic Cotton has been shelved and is looking so inviting! This yarn has a beautiful lustre whilst maintaining its softness as it’s not mercerised. Perfect for warp and weft, the Venne 8/2 cotton makes wonderful baby wraps, scarfs and wearable textiles. Venne’s organic cotton is ring spun from long staple Egyptian cotton and has received Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) certification. This the Ne 8/2 (Nm 14/2) with each 250g cone measuri...ng 1625m (6500/kilo). This yarn is also available in euro ones of 1kg.
