22.01.2022 ANZAC DAY AT THREE TREE LODGE A very emotional event this morning at Three Tree Lodge as we gathered together to commemorate Anzac Day. This is a tradition at Three Tree Lodge, always conducted on the day before Anzac Day to allow a wreath to be presented to local RSL representatives for laying at the Dawn Service.... This year, our thanks to Colin Hope, Lithgow Sub Branch Vice President who conducted our service today. A lovely gathering of residents with many stories to share, none of which would the same without Anzac biscuits, a cup of tea and our famous Three Tree Lodge morning teas. Thanks to Narelle, our awesome volunteer David and the catering team for their beautiful work.

20.01.2022 Some great news for Three Tree Lodge this week with our local member Paul Toole MP visiting us with news that our grant submission for funding to install solar power was successful. This funding will enable us to reduce our power costs annually. Thanks Paul!

20.01.2022 FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS - MERRY CHRISTMAS Without doubt, its been a tough couple of weeks in Lithgow. We are grateful for all of the emergency personnel and volunteers whove been working hard to keep us safe. In the midst of all this, weve had some lovely visitors to Three Tree Lodge, keen to share the spirit of Christmas with our staff and residents.... So from all of us, to you and yours - we wish you all the very best for Christmas, and a happy and safe year ahead.

Our team provide a wonderful environment for all our residents so today is a day to say thank you. August 7 is an official day to thank, honour, recognise and celebrate the hundreds of thousands of people who work in the aged care industry across Australia.... Thanks team for all your great work.

19.01.2022 A THANK YOU TO OUR AWESOME VOLUNTEERS Each year we pause around this time to thank the simply awesome volunteers who come along and support our residents at Three Tree Lodge. They undertake a broad range of activities - entertaining our residents with piano singalongs, singing, ukulele classes, line dancing, personal care such as painting nails and conversation, practical support such as bus driving and of course our volunteer Board of Directors. ... We simply couldnt do our roles without you and our residents lives are all the richer for you being part of it. Thank you for all you do Thanks also to the Three Tree Lodge staff who arranged today led by the lovely Narelle, our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator and our wonderful Catering Coordinators Kath and Narelle. Finally a shout out to local business Bouquets by Design who are our florists - beautiful work!

We congratulate all of the winners this year, but we particularly give a huge cheer to our Chairman of the Three Tree Lodge Board of Directors, Garry Brown, who this year was awarded the Citizen Achievement Award. Heres how Council described his achievements - ... "The Citizen Achievement Award recognises the achievements of local individuals who make a difference to our community by excelling in their chosen field. Garry Brown received the award this year for his achievements in local business and contributions to the wellbeing of the community. Within senior positions at the Lithgow Community Private Hospital and Three Tree Lodge, Garry made significant contributions to the provision of health and care services to local residents and the sustainability of local businesses. Garry has also volunteered his time to benefit many organisations and community groups including social/family events and education programs for colliery employees, fundraising events for local charities, childrens sporting clubs, and rescue groups including Lithgow Mine Rescue, and NSW Fire and Rescue." 04.01.2022 Day one today! Our friends at Daffodils at Rydal welcome the first day of their annual daffodil festival today. Even though its raining (and dont we need that!) we encourage all our friends and families to visit this years event which is held on this weekend and next: September 8/9 & 15/16. We were one of the lucky recipients of last years funding for which we are very grateful and we will be naming the garden adjacent to Melaleuca House the Rydal Garden.

Were taking the time for a lovely morning tea with our Chairman Garry and our CEO Kate to thank everyone who comes along and volunteers their time, skill and compassion to engage with our residents. Who are they and what do they do? Piano players, nail artists, line dancers, companions (human and canine), ukulele players - friends one and all. Thanks for all you do!
