20.01.2022 These values REALLY speak to me. It is one thing to identify our values and another to actually live by them. Thank you Esther Wojcicki I look forward to reading this book. (BTW at no point in the article does Wojcicki suggest that you have to become a doctor or CEO to be deemed successful. That is just what her children chose to be.)

19.01.2022 Have you found the happy medium?

18.01.2022 I loved listening to Sir Ken Robinson speak at the EduTECH Conference last week. He spoke about how Education needs to continue to look for ways to cultivate creativity in students to assist them to be ready to excel at the jobs that are being created as the unintentional positive and negative consequences of the digital age. He was kind enough to sign my copy of one of his books. This book is written to assist you to choose the best school for your child and gives ideas if you would like to influence change as part of the school community.

17.01.2022 Something light for the weekend

16.01.2022 When we do the things we fear everything changes..... for the better thankfully! I think making the decision to act is the hardest, this poem by Khalil Gibran expresses this perfectly in my view. I just know Id rather be an ocean than to live with the consequences of not doing what I know I need to do, nobody wants to become a festy, stagnant swamp and its easier to model how to live life to children as an ocean. I love a good water analogy, I may even post another soon

16.01.2022 How good is this letter to parents from the Headmaster of a boys school in Sydney...I hope all school leaders took the time to think about how they choose to support the future leaders in their school! "Damn these Year Elevens. They come into my office asking me to support the climate strike. They tell me that it is their planet too and that they should be able to protest about what is the most important issue of their lives. They ask whether the school will stand up for them...Continue reading

14.01.2022 An interesting attitude!

14.01.2022 School is out and its time to play. My friend told me recently that her 8yr old kept coming to her to tell her she was bored. She said she just kept replying that she was sorry she was bored and she hoped she would think of something to do soon. The result- an amazing life sized robot made entirely out of newspaper and sticky-tape.

13.01.2022 I hope you dont feel this way when trying to understand the behaviour of your children.......

Australian children are lucky to have many schools who are future focussed and innovative but as we know.... quality can always be improved upon..... https://www.ted.com//ken_robinson_changing_education_parad
