25.01.2022 Breaking out of a comfort zone and stepping into some really hard work! A great way to start our Saturday. Sweaty, hot messes! Coming into this class we expected to work hard. But we didn’t expect to be welcomed in by every member the way that they did and they made us feel part of the team. There is something really special about working hard with other people and doing things with a group of people who are aiming for similar goals.... Thanks @centralvicperformance for the fun!

25.01.2022 Bit of action today. Week 3 zoom catch up with the team! Another really good session working through some goals and changes across the board. Some discussions we had were around:... - mindset and how it can hold us back or help us move forward - going from ‘all or nothing’ to being more realistic - reducing processed sugars - the importance of hydration - talking about some of the inspiring things these guys have started to do to improve their lives It’s the support that makes this process work. Sharing the experiences and helping each other succeed! Absolutely unbelievable :)

23.01.2022 Draft Fitness & Well-being Retreat! It’s starting to take shape now! Plenty of input from you all and it looks like a pretty cool setup! Plenty of exercise and hard work in this which is what we wanted to get out of it but also some mental work.... It’s still a work in progress, but what do you think so far? Any suggestions or ideas? @ Geelong, Victoria

23.01.2022 We need your help! We are very close to finishing decking out our van for all our travels and adventures! But!... We need to make it more homey! It still feels too much like a van Thinking hippy vibes If you’ve got some suggestions, share them below :) @ Strathfieldsaye, Victoria, Australia

23.01.2022 Life is full of experiences, fill it up with positive ones!

22.01.2022 Sunday Morning Chills ‘Breathe and make time for yourself’ I love this reminder and it is exactly what I have been working on over the last little while. Making myself a priority and doing things that light me up, being more mindful and enjoying everyday.... Self care and looking after yourself is not selfish, it’s necessary. So I’m going to sit here, eat my delicious chia and flax porridge and read my book! What are you reading at the moment, suggestions welcome

21.01.2022 Rate my record player hall stand. Currently don’t have a record player to put on it yet Bit of after school extra curricula activities here having a dabble into woodwork. I can confirm that PE Teachers don’t make good wood workers. Some struggles I had were:... - short attention span - trying to move on to next stage before I had finished the previous - saw dust sneezes.... multiple sneezes - trying to make it ‘perfect’ and getting frustrated when it didn’t look ‘perfect’ But, the end result... well, it matches the coffee table, it hasn’t fallen apart yet and if I squint one eye it’s even level! Give me a score! 1-10 ? But don’t look too close @ Strathfieldsaye, Victoria, Australia

20.01.2022 Vanilla Bliss Balls (Slice) Chocolate and vanilla has got to be one of my fav combos when it comes to bliss balls! And! ... I whipped these up in seriously, under 5mins! I did get lazy and put it into a slice so otherwise it may taken another 5! Does anyone else do that? What flavour should I make next?? I’d love some suggestions! Also, if you’d like the recipe let me know also!

20.01.2022 Here I am, celebrating what I have achieved and what I have now become so proud of! Life seems to move so fast! I look back and realise just how much time has passed! I like to take time to reflect on it and the experiences I’ve had to help make small tweaks and changes that redirect my path in a positive way. From a young age, I knew I was going to be a teacher. I had a keen passion for health and fitness and this lead to my first real qualification and job. ... I started out as a Personal Trainer in the city where I developed my interest for personal development and helping others succeed. I then studied a bachelor of Health & Physical Education with a minor in Social Work back in Bendigo. While studying, I was also working as a social worker where I really started to enjoy helping others with their struggles. I’ve been teaching Physical Education for 7 years now and in that time, Jess and I have studied Health & Wellness Coaching and have created Thriving Lifestyles. This is where my pride comes in. Some people are born to do physical work, manual labour or work in a big fancy office. For me, it’s always been to help others. My whole life path has been built around it and I just absolutely light up with joy when I can help someone grow! I’m proud of this! But it’s the impact I’ve had on myself that I am most proud of! I have changed so much over the last 10 years from my own struggles and life experiences and even though a lot have been extremely hard, I am grateful for them! I’m also proud of what I’m doing right now. Celebrating myself and my achievements is something I’ve never really done. I think it’s something a lot of us don’t do well! And, I think it’s something we should do more often! We have all done amazing things in our lives and we’ve all done small things that are equally as great! Rather than skipping over them and brushing them off, let’s celebrate them! Let’s Thrive!

18.01.2022 One last brekky date with @tom.hughes.54390 before he moves back to WA! What a man! Miss you already mechanic!

18.01.2022 A post to our coaching group Hey team! After an amazing weekend or adventures and some challenging times on Sunday, I have had an amazing week with my goals!... My vision is to be more positive towards change and to take on new opportunities. This week, I meditated 2 times before bed (that was my goal) and I am starting to crave it now! Jess and I also went away for a night with some friends and explored local regions which was another one of my goals too Yesterday, we spread mums ashes and set her free. This was always going to be a mixed emotional day! However, I feel so great! Making these changes to see things in a more positive light has helped me to celebrate her freedom and allowing her to drift where ever she chooses! Without working on ‘me’ I don’t think I would have felt this positive towards it. We all have our challenges. Some happen daily, some happen sporadically. We can get derailed at the drop of a hat and we can struggle our way into a downward spiral. That is what experiencing feelings and emotions is all about. We are allowed to be sad, pissed off, depressed or angry. But we want to balance that out and even swing the emotional scale back into the positive side! So, these changes we are all making, they are individual and meaningful to only ourselves! They should be enjoyable and make us feel good about ourselves! If you’re feeling like that as you start to imbed you’re changes, great! That’s freaking amazing! If not, that’s ok! Let’s look at tweaking them, making them easier, changing them all together or simply allowing yourself to take your time. Change can be hard! But only if we make it hard! Change can be a easier too! But only if we allow ourselves to let it be easier Have a wonderful day! @ Bendigo, Victoria

18.01.2022 Happy 3 year Anniversary! Celebrating 3 years today This day 3 years ago, was one of the best days of our lives! ... We have certainly been on a mighty big adventure over the years and we have grown so much! I love you more each and every day! Here’s to many more to come @ Strathfieldsaye, Victoria, Australia

18.01.2022 Life is better with a supportive community! When you start working towards a goal, making some changes or are going on a journey of improving yourself, it is so much easier and more enjoyable when you have others on a similar path by your side! Creating change isn’t always easy... there are still things that we struggle to implement and there will be many more to come! However, support and encouragement goes a really long way in your success! ... Support and encouragement isn’t just great for achieving your goals though, it is absolutely one of the most important parts of us living a healthy lifestyle. Knowing that we have people in our corner to talk to, to lean on and to guide us down a better path when we need it the most. People quite often don’t need to be told what to do... they just need support to do what they may not have been able to do on their own. A quote I like The one thing people love doing is telling others what to do. The one thing people hate is being told what to do We find when people are told what to do, they quite often meet change with resistance and feel a sense of discipline towards the goal. But when someone creates their own path and chooses their own changes, with encouragement, support and guidance, they tend to thrive and enjoy their journey. This is a shift in mindset and has a positive impact on results. That is the power of a supportive community. That is what Thriving Lifestyles is all about!

17.01.2022 Hear that? Nothing but nature! A little detox from life! (Minus the phone obviously... yes, yes, you’re very clever!)... Location: Melville Caves

17.01.2022 It’s berry time! 4 different kinds of berries and all of them are starting to fruit now! This is super exciting! What have you got growing in your garden that you just can’t wait for?!?

15.01.2022 This is what I’m dealing with! We’re on a spontaneous overnight trip to Geelong, I’m the pregnant one and he has to stop every 10mins to pee! At least he is hydrated Is anyone else like this when you go on a long drive? ... Also, do guys really hold their bits like this when they need to pee? I thought that was just a thing kids do... obviously not!

15.01.2022 Learning to enjoy the daily tasks is just as important as enjoying the adventures! For a long time, I saw cooking as a chore. In fact, I saw many things as chores! Things that we have to do to stay alive, things that make our lives better and things that if we suddenly stopped doing them, our lives would fall apart! ... For a long time, I loathed cooking, going shopping and even going to work was on my grind list. But, we spend a lot of time doing these things each day and they all need doing! So, I decided a while back that I’d change my thoughts towards them from being things that I had to do, to things that made my life better and more enjoyable. Now, although I still don’t enjoy doing the dishes, we have really taken to cooking and getting in the kitchen! This simple shift has made us want to be there! Which in turn, helps us eat better too! Interesting hey! The more we enjoy life’s daily tasks, the better we will feel towards them :) What are your thoughts?? Have a lovely day in the sunshine!

12.01.2022 Reflection Time A lot has happened in the last 5 years, from being diagnosed with MS, countless MRI’s, fertility appointments, miscarriages and multiple surgeries, how did I (we) get through it.. I really pride myself on having a positive mindset, more recently allowing myself time to process it all and feeling optimistic about the future! However, I couldn’t have got through it all without my partner in crime, Dave and my amazing family and friends. ... It was 5 years ago my life was turned upside down however there have been plenty of positives to come out of it too, which included a shift in career and one of the best decisions I have ever made. Taking focus off my Accounting degree, into studying to be a Functional Nutrition Consultant and a Wellness Coach. Helping others is a huge passion Dave and I both share. I am really looking forward to the future and what it has to offer. It is exciting and we can’t wait to continue to support others in changing their lives for the better too!

11.01.2022 When we get together, apart from having an amazing bond and incredibly good times together, we also seem to have the most amazing food! Health is a common enjoyment between us all and healthy eating plays a big part in that. Eating is our excitement :) and what it does for us is just as good as how it tastes :) @ Geelong, Victoria
