10.01.2022 This new program addressing social isolation and reducing the burden on the health care system is being trialled in Queensland. A community-led approach has the potential to ease the pressure on our primary health system at the same time as meeting the social needs of individuals. Seems very aligned with Thriving Mitcham Hills vision! And despite the impression from the photo, a study in 2018 recognised that..loneliness afflicts people of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds.

10.01.2022 Wonderful article about making connections and hopefully friends within the local community. Sounds very similar to the focus of Thriving Mitcham Hills :)

09.01.2022 According to this clip, loneliness is on the rise and has serious health implications. The question "How is your country tackling loneliness?" is posed at the end. We cant answer for Australia as a whole but Thriving Mitcham Hills is tackling loneliness in our local area by helping people to be more connected with others in our community. If youd like to increase your connections, please send us a message.
