15.01.2022 THYRA COTTAGE PILLIGA NSW We welcome guests to Thyra Cottage located within the village of Pilliga in the scenic North West region of NSW approximately one hour drive from Narrabri. The cottage reflects country comfort and charm providing a relaxing atmosphere being well appointed with quality modern and vintage inclusions. The cottage is kept cosy warm in the cool winter months by the wood fire place and cool in the summer by air conditioning.... Situated on a fully fenced double block with a double carport for under cover parking. Thrya Cottage has both modern kitchen and bathroom facilities with three individually unique bedrooms,a welcoming lounge room and a peacefully quiet sunroom leading to the front veranda area. The cottage is entirely self-contained with all linen, towels, blankets ect provided and also serviced for short term guests. Thyra Cottage can sleep a maximum of six people and is available for overnight, weekend, weekly or short term accomodation with reasonable rates. Negotiable rates for short term group accomodation. Located only ten minutes walk to the Pilliga Artesian Bore Bath, cafe,hotel and village facilities. We welcome inspection. Bookings essential to avoid disappointment. Artesian bore water has been highly recognised for its therapeutic properties and values. The constant 37 degree water affords welcomed relief for many people with a variety of ailments finding the usage of the bath waters invigorating and beneficial in alleviating their discomfort. The surrounds provide free electric BBQ areas,picnic tables, toilets and showers. SURROUNDING ATTRACTIONS Pilliga State Forest- The Pilliga State Forest or The Pillga Scrub incorporates 3000 square kilometres of natural wilderness featuring caves, statues and marked walking tracks to explore. Pilliga Pottery- Nestled in the Pilliga Forest with buildings that present as artwork and indeed is truly a hidden treasure with an extensive studio,workshop, cafe and gallery. Yarrie Lake- Yarrie Lake is a circular three km in diameter on the edge of the Pilliga Scrub and is been thought to have been formed by a meteor strike providing for many species of birds and wild life. Activities available include craybobs, water skiing, swimming and sailing.
14.01.2022 Thyra Cottage is now up and running thanks so much to everyone for their help when i needed it. It's fresh and ready for a new era in its life being offered for accomodation. The cottage was named after Thyra Olive Taylor ( nee Phelps ) 23/05/1920 -06/01/2003 whom I am told loved the cottage as do I also. I ask that everyone if you already haven't to please share with friends and so on.... that would be awesome!
10.01.2022 Working on web site tonight for Thyra Cottage sensational who'd a thought it, so excited should be up and running also in a few days. This will make sure the cottage is found by everyone looking for quality accomodation when they visit Pilliga.
