Hopefully we can increase the public awareness of this shortage and get some traction on a solution, as nearly everyone uses vehicles of some sort and if there's no mechanics people won't be able to use their cars, with the potential of making our roads unsafe. Last year 2018 in WA Vacancies for mechanics hav...e risen by over 42% Apprentice course completions are at their lowest point in 10 years In WA vehicle registrations have increased by 8.9% Employers filled only 45% of Mechanic vacancies, the lowest rate in 10 years Out of all the applications only 30% were qualified and out of that number 56% were deemed unsuitable. We all need mechanics to keep our cars running well and safe, please share this post to increase awareness and if you know of any mechanics, please send them this way we have great opportunity for them.
