25.01.2022 Hi everyone. We are coming to the end of term 3. I would like to thank everyone for their diligence with our social distancing not only at training but while dropping off students & entering / leaving the hall. Great work. Hopefully we are getting closer to a normal way of life. We are doing all we can to make that happen. So far we are planning to conduct our end of year Gradings next term & students are looking good at the moment as far as progressing towards that day. With social distancing in place we will be a little limited with what we can practice and present but we will adapt to the situation. No worries, that's life. I will confirm the date after the holidays. All for now, looking forward to Wednesday. Until then. Sensei Frank.

23.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope your are enjoying your down time. Don't forget we are back on Wednesday, focusing in on our end of year gradings. Got a bit to do so make sure your ready. Looking forward to seeing you all. Take care till then. Sensei Frank.

23.01.2022 Hi everyone. I'm still on the trail of getting us back to training. Council tells me it's now up to the hall committees for each hall to decide. Trying to talk to someone from the hall committee is proving a little more difficult. I have sent an email, hopefully it gets the ball rolling for us. Hope you are all well. Sensei Frank.

20.01.2022 Hi guys, l will be contacting the staff at Mallabula Hall on Monday to see how & when we can commence training. Stay tuned.

20.01.2022 OK everyone great news we are back training at the Mallabula hall on Wednesday. Although we will need to make a few changes to class numbers & times. So we will need to have all people sign in as they enter the hall time, date, phone number etc. As usual if anyone is unwell in any way they must stay home until cleared by a doctor. All students will be required to wash hands after bowing in & social distancing will be the applied for the time being. Our first session will be... 4:45pm - 5:45pm for students 7yrs to 11yrs of age. Session 2 is 6pm - 7pm. Students 12yrs & over. Third session 7:15 - 8:30pm. Memna Grappling. This will allow good social distancing practice on our matted area. Also times allow students to enter & leave the hall without gathering, parents are asked to limit their time in the hall waiting in car is advice. If students wish to bring any hand sanitising products for themselves they may. If there are any questions please ask. Other wise l hope to see you on Wednesday. Sensei Frank. See more

20.01.2022 Hi folks, l hope you are all safe & well enjoying the break. Don't forget we are returning on the 27th January. Juniors 4:45 pm, Youth 6 pm, Memna 7:15pm.... Looking forward to seeing you all. Until then take care. Sensei Frank. See more

17.01.2022 Hi everyone a quick message regarding training. We will be running classes next Wednesday as this will square up most of those students who have paid for the term. Then we can start our new term on the 22nd of July. It's great to be back. Also thanks to all for your patience & understanding with some of the time/session changes. See you on Wednesday. Sensei Frank.

16.01.2022 Hi guys don't forget we are starting Term 3 tomorrow night. Looking forward to seeing you there. Sensei Frank.

13.01.2022 Hi folks, tonight's the night! Grading night that is...... All students ready to bow in at 5pm. Don't forget your books. See you then. Sensei Frank.

13.01.2022 Hi folks, sometimes l take a moment to appreciate where l live. Here we live a peaceful and pleasant life. In our community we are away from the city with its hustle & bustle but close enough to enjoy what it offers as well. We are surrounded by beautiful waterways, great beaches & plenty of nature bush land. Yes we are very lucky. We are also very fortunate to have seen little in the way of covid infections locally whether from good luck or good management. I imagine a bit... of both could be the case. So thanks to everyone involved with our sessions entering & leaving training with their willingness to adopt the procedures now required. With everyone playing their part, it makes a big difference. As you may know we have adjusted to this disrupted year & we are now focused on our end of year gradings. I am very pleased to see students progressing towards this goal. This week l have mentioned to students our need to be ready to train at our start times. I do understand that this can be a little challenging at times with school, work, family & other activites having parents / carers taxi service on the go. If students could be at our sessions 5 mins before start times this will reinforce the students understanding of good punctuality & help with the flow of the session. Please could you let me know if there is difficulty with this requirement as l would not like to question students if getting to sessions at this time is a challenge for families. Hope you are all well. See you Wednesday. Sensei Frank. See more

10.01.2022 Hi guys, well one week to go and we can all enjoy the break. I have to say l've been impressed with the way students have responded to the changed conditions this year, there will always be times that require us to adapt. We can lose sight or we can work with it. As the saying goes, "Things happen". So we'll done. Which leads me to congratulate our youngest member Ayden who has shown a lot of growth and understanding and has been rewarded with his 1st Red tip. Ayden is rea...lly leading the way for someone his age. Well done Ayden, l have the feeling we will be seeing you Grading for the Red Belt soon. All for now folks, see you at the Grading. 09.01.2022 First night back tonight, it was good to be back & great to see you all on the mat. Looking forward to next week. See you then. Sensei Frank.

08.01.2022 Hi folks just an update on our last session for the year. This will be on the 16th of December it will also be a Grading night. As usual we will need to combine our two classes so we will all need to be ready to bow in at 5pm. This will run over the 1 hour mark and should be over by 7pm well and truly. If there are any reasons for not being able to make it on the night please let me know. If families members wish to attend they are also welcomed, we will need to sign in at the door due to covid regulations. Looking forward to finishing the year off on a good note and seeing our dedicated students go through their paces. See you then. Sensei Frank.

07.01.2022 Hi all. Well we have finally made it to term 3. No mean feat that's for sure! Great to see everyone on the mat even with the adjustments to how classes are conducted. We are planning for our end of year gradings. We have spoken about how each student can work towards this day. I would like to start me Christmas break a few hours later if you know what l mean?... Also thanks to PS Council & Mallabula hall committee for putting measures in place to have the facilities open. Which is an opportunity to remind all of the importance of maintaining social distancing while entering & leaving the hall. If parents/family members during pick-up/drop off need to enter the hall we must remember to make it brief & ideally remain in the car. I do enjoy the social connection with everyone but we must remain concious of the importance of social distancing were possible. We want to keep this thing going! Thanks in advance for your help & consideration with this matter. Hope you are all well. Looking forward to Wednesday. Sensei Frank. See more
