24.01.2022 As we take on the next challenge of 10 customers in the house, we have to fortify ourselves with some cellar treasures. This @turkeyflat 1992 was still wonderful. Took a while to open but still had lovely colour, acidity and length. A touch of fruit with balsamic overtones. 22.01.2022 Easter Sunday.....looking for a screw cap and came up with Crudo 2017 YV Shiraz. To me the shades of this are tomato leaf and capsicum....a bit green. Apparently a warm vintage (confirmed by the 13% alcohol. Not necessarily my favourite style but well made. Vanilla oak dominates the aroma but the palate has a silky texture that eventually reveals a lovely fruit core. Line and length was better than G McGrath and persistence was contemplative . 08.01.2022 Aaaaah Christmas couriers. Sent a case of wine to a client in Canberra. Somehow the courier failed to take the left hand off the Hume but headed west inland .....to Perth. Sent a replacement case as had little confidence that original would find its way back. They both arrived today! No guesses for which case ended up in Perth. Question is that case of wine the most travelled case in the world?
