13.01.2022 Many people are moving away from the more "Traditional" funeral setting and having a Memorial, that is more in line with what their loved ones wanted. Here is a great example of that. The family wanted a private No Service Direct cremation and then, after a short period of time, when they had the chance to adjust a little and get over the initial grief of losing a loved one, they held a lovely Memorial service in the church that they attended. At the end of the service, the o...verwhelming comment was that it was far nicer to have a small timber urn holding the ashes present, rather than an imposing coffin at the end of the church aisle. Plus they got to take their loved one home when the Memorial itself was finished. The family and friends found this alternative a much gentler approach without compromising any dignity or respect.
