23.01.2022 THE WILDLIFE TIMES Koalas are on the move! Around this time of year, a lot of young males start wandering around looking for a territory of their own. It's a visual reminder that koalas and humans live in the same environment, so we must protect them at all costs. ... Lumi the koala caused a lot of excitement when he was recently found in the Aqauluma warehouse in Helensvale on the Gold Coast. Wildcare Australia Inc rescued Lumi and transferred him to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. Dr Michael Pyne, Senior Vet of Currumbin Wildlife Hospital recently announced that Lumi is healthy and ready for release back out into the wild. Chlamydia-free male koalas, like Lumi, are important for the future of koalas so it's crucial that he is released as soon as possible.
