24.01.2022 We couldn’t be more thrilled to share the happy news of the safe arrival of Mary Ann’s baby Fleur Marie Georgy!! We are so proud of her as she took pregnancy and birth in her stride as she does with everything else in life! She’s beautiful Mary Ann and we can’t wait to meet her!

22.01.2022 Positive vibes people! We are now pro’s at this so please keep your heads up as you review the below information: We apologise for the inconvenience however we will require all sessions for psychology and speech to be online for the duration of the lockdown. Please contact your therapist if this is unsuitable and try and reschedule or cancel the session out. We hope that this is only for one week as is scheduled and that we can return to usual thereafter but we will keep yo...u posted. Leonie and Chantelle (reception) will be working from home and monitoring calls, so please remember to leave a voicemail as it converts to an email to them and they can usually call you back pretty quickly after. We are unable to have physical presence on site during as it isn’t one of the accepted reasons to leave home. We again thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If the lockdown causes triggers for you and you’re struggling with this please just reach out to your psychologist. We may have sessions cancelled out also and can help support you through the week too. In emergency please contact 000 or call lifeline on 13 11 14. Please feel free to ask questions here or via private direct message to the page here. Sincerely, The Time to Shine and Sound it Out Speech teams.

19.01.2022 Hi all! We hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend! Guidance from the APS has come in to say that we should remain online - however, we understand that not everyone benefits as much from this type of service.... So we will be resuming some face to face sessions for those who would usually access their psychology appointments this way (PLEASE confirm first with your psychologist directly - we must be given advanced warning of 24 hours if we are to attend for face to face or we may assume it's telehealth). An email to your psych is great! We do resume with some formal rules in place to ensure we are keeping as safe as possible while there is elevated risk and restrictions. Please carefully read the below and ensure that if you are to attend face to face that you comply, as we will need to turn away those who cannot and refer back to telehealth. Reception hours until further restrictions are eased; Chantelle in the office: - Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Working from home Tuesday and Thursday Leonie in the office: - Tuesday, Thursday - Working from Home Wednesday All Psychologists: - Face to Face can recommence, however TELEHEALTH IS STILL A PRIORITY IF YOU CAN ACCESS WHAT YOU NEED FROM THIS. - Face Masks are mandatory for anybody over the age of 12 - No Siblings : 1 parent - 1 child attending for their sessions (we will review this by school holidays). - 1.5m distancing as often as possible, we are limiting chairs in reception and we are encouraging that where you can that you wait in the car up until your appointment time, and then if possible until your child's session is complete (if you aren't required in the room). The lobby is also an open space option. - Our QR Code on entry is compulsory. If you are unable to QR Code, we will need you to provide us with your details at reception so we can further document your attendance. We do have online systems but the government is enforcing stricter QR codes and we must comply. - Sessions must strictly end on time to allow enough time between appointments to wipe down surfaces, chairs and toys in our rooms. - Receptionists will keep waiting room clean by wiping down surfaces, door handles, and chairs and monitor waiting room capacity. - We will continue to encourage the use of hand sanitiser and other cleaning/sterilizing products to do our best to ensure your time in the clinic is as safe as we can make it. - And last but most importantly. Please - do the right thing and do not attend face to face if you have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Even if you have tested negative. If others get a cough/sniffles we all need to isolate and be tested due to speculation of symptoms and so the chain continues. We appreciate every one of you who make our community what it is, and who have remained flexible throughout this journey. We hope to see you soon! The team at Time to Shine

17.01.2022 Hi all, In light of exposure sites from Epping, Wollert and other close areas. We ask the following: - obviously do not attend if you or a family member has any covid signs or symptoms. ... - please do not attend if you have been near exposure sites and or near/around someone who has. Please be smart and safe and opt to use telehealth where you have a slight chance of contact or secondary contact. We have many vulnerable families who attend the clinic who’s health would not hold up well against covid exposure. We have come this far. Let’s keep up the good work keeping us all safe. Thanks!

13.01.2022 Hi all, Another reminder re being careful about what your kids are being exposed to online. We have had families let us know here that images of the French teacher have been hidden in some online Twitter images and are doing the rounds online. Images that show basic, harmless objects (like a pot) and then when you click on it, it shows graphic images of the person. Please again just remind your teens what they click on is not always innocent and to be mindful that what they see they cannot unsee.

12.01.2022 Well: That's a wrap! After an incredibly challenging year for all, and some 5800 sessions later, we say Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to all! We wanted to say a huge thank-you to all families for being adaptive and flexible in 2020, as we changed our clinic approach on numerous occasions out of necessity. We remain so grateful and appreciative that you place your trust in us to support you with your most precious and valuable - your kids! A privilege we do not take f...or granted. Our Psychologists will all be taking a well earned break over the Christmas period to rest and recharge. Each psychologist will be returning at slightly different times through January so please contact them directly should you need but be mindful they may not be replying to or checking emails over leave. Our reception staff will be returning on Monday 11th of January to return emails and phone calls so we thank-you in advance for your patience here. While 2020 hasn't been perfect, we reflect and are grateful that we are able to see family, friends and other loved ones this Christmas (something that was high in doubt earlier in the year). Spend your time doing things that fulfil, inspire and bring you and your kids joy for there is no time like the present!! We look forward to catching up with you and your kids in 2021 Sincerely, The Time to Shine Therapy team - Chris McFarlane, Sarah De Haan, Vanessa Curmi, Jordan Hassed, Stephanie Reed, Demi Heffer, Cassandra Littleton, Emma Austin, Natasha Stoikos, Leonie Black, Chantelle Oliver and Sarah McFarlane.

12.01.2022 Hi All, Please note that as of tomorrow - masks are again mandatory to wear in the clinic space for both staff and families who attend (exemptions permitted - please bring your exemptions if possible). Please reduce sibling attendances wherever possible. We understand completely if in the interest of safety that you’d prefer your session online. In this instance, please contact your psychologist or Chantelle/Leonie at reception as soon as possible to let them know. Our psycho...logists also reserve the right to protect their own health too from possible exposure and may move your sessions online. As always we will try and remain flexible to your young person’s needs and hope that we can move through this challenge together. Sincerely, The Time to Shine team.

10.01.2022 My goodness he’s at it again (**facepalm**) - won’t post everyday but tell the kids to look out for Elvin up to no good at the clinic. Was tested covid negative yesterday so he’s out to play!

06.01.2022 Hi all! We are pleased to announce that we will be able to open up the wait list for families as of today. We have taken an 80+ wait list down to 20 (if you are one of the 20, we are working as hard as we can and you've likely already received a call to confirm your place is still there!). We have done this mid COVID which is why it has been closed for so long as some of our existing families really needed more support than usual. We really try to match people with who may fi...t first time around, so you don't feel frustrated by switching and changing, though that's not always possible. Please note that we will be capping it again once it rises and we have different allowances for new NDIS clients vs Medicare clients (due to the length of average time we will see different families for). There is still a wait as we make our way into the remaining families who have waited oh so patiently and so likely looking to begin new families in the new year. We thank everyone for their ongoing understanding and we are so pleased that Victorians have been granted some more freedoms. We have certainly noted a difference already in the health and wellbeing of our families since lockdown ended. See more

04.01.2022 So Elvin is back!! And he’s worn a mask and made sure he’s following clinic procedures! First time he’s obeyed the rules! I wonder how long this will last??
