23.01.2022 In the coming weeks, Council will convert the angle parking bays adjacent to the school fence to a No Parking zone, for Drop-off/Pick up of students. The existing parking bay lines will be replaced with yellow dashed linemarking and no parking signs will be installed as per attached plan. Council hopes to have these works complete over the school holidays. The attached information plan explains the changes to the parking arrangements. The No Parking sign indicates the driver can stop in the zone to set down or pick up passengers (and assist with school bags etc) but must not leave the vehicle unattended. This zone will apply from 7:30-9:00am and 2:00-3:00pm. Outside these times, parking is unlimited.

21.01.2022 Awards Assembly 2020 Our awards assembly will be held during school hours next Tuesday. Unfortunately, although COVID restrictions across the state are easing, we are still limited in our capacity to hold public events, and must adhere to strict occupancy guidelines. ... A limited number of invitations will be issued this year to parents of year 10, for whom this will be the final awards, and also to special award winners. Our intent is to hold a celebratory, ‘less formal’ awards during school time. We will be taking photos of award winners and posting them so that all parents can share in the success of students. We thank all parents in advance for their understanding.

14.01.2022 Tin Can Bay State School is currently experiencing water supply issues as the result of a burst water main. My understanding is this issue is affecting a large part of the Tin Can Bay community, not just our school. We have arranged a shipment of drinking water for students to be delivered from Gympie and we have adequate tank water for our toilets.... We will stay in touch with the local council regarding the status of the damaged water main and will update you with any changes to the situation.
