18.01.2022 Wednesday night we had a Cocktails, Cookkey and Cookidoo night. My team and I made some delish cocktails. We had Negroni, Espresso Martini, Don Pedro, Eggnog, Mulled wine Bellini and a mocktail too - Strawberry and Ginger Spritz. We have online cooking classes twice a week. Every week we do different themes - plenty of tips and inspiration! If you haven't been on and would like to join, let me know and I'll send you the deets.

17.01.2022 I made Roti Canai. This took my husband back to where he was born. It was amazing. The dough was translucent (you can see it in one of the photos).. really awesome and quite easy to do. I think I got wife of the year for this one!

17.01.2022 I'm not sure if these photos do it justice, but OMG... super crunchy homemade granola deliciously delightful mixed berry, apple and cherry compote homemade individual pot set yoghurts. ... What an amazing combination. We all had it for brekkie this morning and even the kids finished their whole jar with a side of granola!

13.01.2022 So my daughter told me she needed modeling clay to make something for school. I thought it was only a commercial product... but found out you could actually make it... so cool. I only made a half batch. She needed the tiniest bit.... which I didn't know until after I made it, but she was so happy to make it and I've been hearing all day about all the other things she wants to make with it. For school she made a parachute... video attached (excuse the vacuum cleaner). Recipe for the modeling clay is: thehttps://trtlmt.com.au/modelling-clay/

10.01.2022 A very Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dad's out there. A special Happy Father's day to my husband, thank you for being such an awesome dad to our 3 amazing kids. Hubby's request was Mexican food and Trifle. We made Mexican Stack, Chicken Enchiladas and 2 bowls of Trifle (only half a bowl is now left!). And to my dad who is watching us from Heaven - wish we could have celebrated today with you

10.01.2022 I love this recipe. A really crunchy crust and yummy soft inside. Nothing quite like fresh bread https://sophiaskitchen.blog//artisan-bread-thermomix-reci/

09.01.2022 Honey nougat delight.... instead of a slice, made into balls with a little Aldi brand "Baileys". A little bit of cheeky https://www.recipecommunity.com.au//be0icnxl-ab6c2-308945-

09.01.2022 I made Crispy Chicken Burgers. The chicken burgers were coated with half cornflakes and KFC Krispy Fried Chicken coating, cooked in my Kmart 3 in 1 air fryer. Homemade burger rolls with Crispy Chicken, homemade Garlic mayo, mustard, tomato sauce, caramelized onion, cooked tomato, lettuce, gherkin, egg and bacon. I can still taste it now.

06.01.2022 Yesterday we had another cooking class. The theme was "Cooking for a Crowd" because we are often asked in a Thermomix can feed a large family. It sure can! I made the Tuna Mornay which is one of our family favourites. There was no creamed corn in the cupboard, so before the cooking class I made some creamed corn (see photo). It made a large batch! https://www.recipecommunity.com.au//wx8xwpi6-c608f-637912-... If you saw yesterday's post, I also made the Mexican Stack, so we had that last night and saved the Tuna Mornay for tonight so that gives me the night off . I put most of the Tuna Mornay in a casserole dish, but also cooked some in a plate for ease of presentation in the cooking class... which my daughter came and helped me demolish. But it's our secret because the casserole dish remained full

05.01.2022 Did you know you could make modelling clay? I only just realised! Very cool. https://trtlmt.com.au/modelling-clay/

03.01.2022 This has been on my "to-do" list for such a long time, ever since my customer and friend Karan Rust made it. This is the Mexican Stack from cookidoo. Tonight was the night and we were not disappointed.... everyone loved it and the whole thing disappeared! If you haven't tried it, you really should... plenty of veggies in it too.

03.01.2022 Today's been a tough day. It would have been my dad's 74th birthday. If there was one thing about my dad, no occasion went by without a celebration, so today we decided we'd make it special. We had lasagna, Apple dumplings (which dad loved me making) and a roast pork (dad loved pork). I made a chocolate mousse cake, - layers on chocolate sponge cake with layers of mousse and covered with chocolate ganache and chocolate shards around it. All 3 kids made and read cards as we sat around the table... it was really sweet. It's a bittersweet day because our hearts break with his absence, but we know he is watching over us and would have loved today's celebration.
