15.01.2022 As I move further into my second trimester, my practice continues to change along with my body. Belly growing! I laughed at how many times my shirt wouldn’t stay over my belly There are things I’m no longer able to do and I am learning to modify my practice to best suit what it needs. During my first trimester, I barely practiced at all as I felt very sick and had no energy. This was a deep lesson in surrender! It was also a time of anxiety and fear due to the loss of my f...irst pregnancy back in May. I’m just starting to feel the urge to move again, to feel strong in my body as I grow this new life inside of me. I am learning to embrace this powerful time as I let go of what used to be and move forward into a new phase of my life. As always, this practice brings me back to the simplicity of NOW. And in this time of pregnancy, I am more aware of my body and it’s constant changes than ever before. I will be recording a few pregnancy videos very soon and I’m excited to share them with you ! This video is my first time recording any practice during my pregnancy It’s just a bit of play and learning about what my body and soul is currently craving. I have struggled to share much during this pregnancy as it has been a time of big ups and downs. But I’m excited to open up more, to connect and would love to hear how other Mamas are feeling in this journey of Creation. Love from my heart to yours If you’re interested in future pregnancy videos, make sure to follow me! @tinyyogi More ways to connect: https://adventurebacktolove.com/instagram-linktree Music by: Oliver Koletzki , A Tribe Called Kotori #pregnancy #moveyourbody #openyourheart #yogawhilepregnant #pregnancyyoga #tinyyogi #pregnancyafterloss

14.01.2022 In each day there is the opportunity to move and flow forward or to resist and feel stuck or stagnant. For me, a continuous theme/lesson in life is this idea of the Surrender. A word that, I know, can often feel overused or abused, especially in the spiritual world. Such as, in yoga your teacher tells you to "surrender into the pose"....it sounds really nice, but so many are lost to the idea. How?? How do I surrender? And move forward? Wtf does it even mean? In my life, in my... practice, it's in the every day, it's in the little moments and choices put in front of us....I cannot surrender the biggest and most powerful experiences without first starting with the small and seemingly unimportant. Maybe your day starts in a way you didn't expect; a sick child, a car that doesn't want to start, a meeting cancelled or a fight with your partner...in each situation we can resist, fight and try really hard to make it the way we'd hoped or expected. (Which usually brings more stress & tension) OR, we can allow the current situation to unfold without the fight or the tight grip on what should have/could have been. This is not necessarily "easy", especially when it's new to us! But if you allow yourself to practice this in the smaller, every day experiences, you can bring the Surrender into the larger and more powerful experiences and decisions in your life. Our Yoga practice gives us many opportunities to put this into action....for me, now that I'm further along in my pregnancy, I'm not able to do many of the postures that once came easily to me. So instead of fight it or push against, I now practice flowing in a different way. I learn to honour the changes and to give space to air out those often tightly held beliefs about my body and myself. And it feels good to let all of it go...it's amazing how much freedom we can give to ourselves by simply opening our grip and letting go of what once was or what could have been. Try it, give yourself a day or two to live with a little less resistance and see how your heart, body and soul respond. And don't beat yourself up when it feels hard or you tighten your grip again. Just start fresh, one moment at a time. . Music~ Four Tet See more
