22.01.2022 Big news: Our thoughts and sympathies are with the donor family, parents and the hero themselves! We truly wish we could ease your huge amounts of pain!! And we... thank you for your kind consideration as it has given our little super hero a chance at not only a life but real quality of life. Sorry to those of you that I have not kept in touch with or responded to etc. Obviously this is an exciting yet scary and stressful time and we are just at the beginning of a very long journey. We will read all messages/comments when we can. Please be patient with us. Thank you for all of your support.

21.01.2022 Since I posted the very crappy add advising of the full dispersal of the Warmblood two year olds and Mares I have been blown away by the response with six horse...s sold and literally every visitor to the stud buying a horse We have limited foals left Two colts (gelding booked) and one filly palomino by Daquiri One furst love huge brown filly and we werent going to sell our grey Versace filly but i just convinced Chloe to sell her too Prices are very reasonable (hence the quick sales) We have a few very well bred proven brood mares very attractively priced too See more

16.01.2022 The problem with horse training is that society is set up to believe that you can buy a service and have things the way you want in a certain time frame. People... look at horse training as if they're spending their money on a product. And yet even the best horse trainers will tell you the horse takes its own time, and no one can guarantee a horse will be doing what you want from it when you want from it. The other problem is that even if your trainer can get t done with your horse, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be able to. Getting a horse right takes an amount of commitment on the owners part to develop the same type of relationship that the trainer has, otherwise how can you expect from your horse for yourself what your trainer gets, when it's they who have put in the hours, the sweat, the patience and the desire to get Along with that horse? You aren't spending money on a tune up for your car that you can take home and drive. The fact that money is involved leads people to believe they deserve something for what they paid, and they do, but, it happens in the animals time, not the humans. I think any good trainer would say they would do this for free if they could, just to help horses and people. And yet, we all have to eat. -words by Amy Skinner Photo is of Ray Hunt. See more

11.01.2022 Mason gets too tired just standing so of course walking isn't very easy or practical. He walks around at home on a long oxygen hose and has to take it easy & so...me days he is too tired and asks to be carried to the toilet. This really limits any possible independence for him. At school on the few days he goes they have had him practicing in an electric wheelchair. Although he quite likes it, he has asked a few times now to go back in his other chair to lay back and have a rest. But to get an electric wheelchair and a car that can accommodate it would mean no more having to try manage carrying him and his oxygen machine and his feeding pump set up in and out of his chair and car when he is asleep or too tired, as this is quite tricky when he is attached to those things with tubes/hoses. When he is that tired he needs some uninterrupted sleep, though we still need to get to and from appointments and Connor's school etc. So we are now trialling an electric wheelchair for Mason, one that tilts back for him to sleep and has a control behind it for us to control when he sleeps or is needing to rest. This would give him a huge sense of independence and a little normality as he would carry his own oxygen and feeding pump etc on the chair, giving him mobility without an adult attached to him most of the time. It would be for indoor and outdoor use at school and for outdoor use and travel at home, so going to shops, hospital, appointments, just going for a walk etc. His 4-wheeler has been great but we haven't been able to use it much as he can't lean back to rest with it or snuggle in with a blanket etc. Next hurdle.... to try figure out how we can possibly afford this large purchase and a suitable used car already modified for the chair..... Any tips on winning lotto???

08.01.2022 A dealers view: 1997: Horse riders could ride horses. ... You learnt to really ride and when you fell off you got back on. You didn't sue, you either learnt to ride the horse you bought or you paid to have the horse schooled more or you learnt that you were screwed over, cut the losses and made sure you didn't repeat the mistake next time. If you paid cheap money you realised you were taking on a project, that there was a reason it was cheap. If someone went to the effort of taking a horse to shows. To schooling that horse. To jumping it around a few registered 1.10m classes you paid easily 5,000 upwards for it. 2017: Horse riders don't seem to be able to ride to the same standard. Riding schools have had to stop allowing a lot of the foundation equine education in fear of being sued. If you buy a horse you can't ride you straight away come onto Facebook and slate the dealer. Even if you have owned the horse for months. 1500/2000 should buy you a nicely schooled and well produced horse capable of jumping 1m+ and NEVER have a playful moment. A project should be for pretty much free, and even the project has to be "safe". How has the horse world changed so much. A dealer nowadays has to almost turn every horse into a brain dead machine for it to be able to be accepted into the everyday market. The sleepless nights a good dealer has worrying that even though you have worked your ass off on the horse and done everything possible to make sure you can stand over that horse, the fear that the slightest issue will result in your business reputation being shredded haunts you. The hours of blood sweat and tears and financial cost that goes into making these machines to have very little financial gain can be heart breaking. I seriously believe it has become a very sad world and it needs to change again. credit to my friend Victoria Fiasconaro
