24.01.2022 Ever tried this? We all have limiting beliefs. But the key is to change our language, our self talk, and seek ways to overcome. A small tweak in your language can make all the difference...

23.01.2022 Congratulations to all the @waggabusinesschamber Crow Awards 2.0 Finalists! So many fantastic businesses and business leaders in this list, it’s gonna be close! Although we weren’t lucky enough to make it through to the finalist stage this year, to even be nominated was amazing we can’t thank you enough for all your support so far!... Who do you think is going to take out each of the categories? Let us know in the comments below! See more

23.01.2022 EVER FELT LIKE A FAKE? There's a term thrown around quite a bit: "imposter syndrome." I know I have felt like this before. You know that feeling where you look around at your peers and you don’t believe you should be playing at their level? Or maybe you feel that you aren’t as good as you make out to be or that people believe you to be The good news is I've found there are 3 things you can do to help yourself overcome the feeling of being an imposter. ... 1. STOP IT. Just stop comparing yourself to others. You are running your own race, in your own way. You are not competing with anyone except yourself. Be kind to yourself. 2. Reflect (and give yourself some credit). Reflect on the last week, month, year List out what you have achieved. I guarantee once you start this, you will quickly realise you have done far more than you think you have! 3. Ditch the doubts. You aren’t perfect and no one expects you to be. You haven’t had every experience there is to have, you haven’t worked in every industry and you haven’t faced every situation. You don’t, you CAN’T, have all the answers. And that is OK. But wanna know what you do have. Your unique perspective of the world, formed from your experiences and shaped by all your challenges that you have overcome. Save this post by tapping the flag icon for the next time you're feeling like an imposter! See more

23.01.2022 PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION. Today, I'm feeling pretty damn proud. There are a couple of clients who are just starting their journey with me as their coach, but who have already taken big action. Even though there is still loads to do, the quick action they have already taken has led to:... - one professional services client doubling the leads and enquiry inside 1 week - a retailer doubling down on a their top 5 selling items (while ditching the top 5 worst), increasing their turnover and lowering their held stock and - an IT business owner finding 35% more time in their day! Sometimes we have to take action and make a start, and adjust as we go. If you are waiting for the timing to be perfect, the market to be perfect, the whatever to be perfect, I guarantee you will be waiting a long time See more

23.01.2022 IF IT’S GOT TO BE THEN IT’S UP TO ME. One thing I work on with my clients is accountability. It means you are responsible. It’s not so much a way of thinking as a way of being, and it starts from within. Accountability is ownership. Ownership of our current reality, our current situation. Because if we did not in some way affect where we are in the world and the results we are getting, then who did? Here is a small exercise. Look back over your last month in business. Was... it the best month you ever had? Maybe, maybe not. If it wasn’t, why not? What got in the way? And those things in the way, could you have done anything differently? Did you take enough action? Or did you let circumstance decide your reality? As a coach, I don’t and I won’t hold your hand every step of the way when I am on the journey with you, but the truth is? You won't need me to! You'll be given the tools, accountability and support along the way so that the shifts you make... truly come from you. And that's what has staying power. Want to drive greater results in your business and your life? Send me a DM today and let's chat. See more

15.01.2022 Righto Let’s set the scene So, you’ve started your day. It’s not a particularly special day. It’s a day like most others and like most other days, there’s so much to do. And I bet you often ask yourself, Where do I start? Many business owners I talk to do. They’ve got so much on their plate: sales, marketing, finances, hiring, cleaning the bathroom (just checking to see if you are still awake), and let’s not forget actually providing your product or service. Many ...people, faced with so many balls to juggle and keep off the ground shut down due to the sheer overwhelm. Or, they fall back on the tried and tested let me just start with email. Have you ever found yourself doing that? I know I have certainly been guilty of this But then the phone rings. And then an employee comes in asking for help. Oh and that customer calls. And before you know it, it is 5 p.m. and everyone is leaving the office except you. You’re left there, thinking Jeez, I haven’t gotten anything done that I needed to get done today and not knowing why. Then you finally get home, get your evening sorted, spend the little time you can with your partner and kids, then get yourself to bed (far too late for the amount of sleep you need mind you) and before you know it Groundhog Day Time to do it all again It’s a spiralling cycle. But there is a way to stop the cycle and break the chain, and it’s called Eat That Frog! If you haven’t read this book by Brian Tracy, I suggest you get it and give it a good read. When you do, you will realise that you have habits of procrastination The key to stop procrastinating, (and yes, I realise you thought all of that other stuff you did was important), is to start each day identifying the number one goal you have for the day. And then Eat That Frog! It means continually asking yourself Which one project or activity, if I did it in an excellent and timely fashion, would have the greatest positive impact on my life? And then, GO DO IT! See more

15.01.2022 CLIENT WIN Received this amazing message last night from a local Riverina entrepreneur who I was lucky enough to work with. Might not seem like a lot but to this hard working young woman these results are game changing! And it all started with an Instagram message to me that simply said the work Grow... And grow she has! She’s out there kicking her goals and I can’t wait to see where she takes her business!

13.01.2022 QUICK, YOU'RE ON! No, this is not a scary dream where you're on stage and have no idea what to say. This is a genuine question: if you had to speak on one subject for 30 minutes with zero preparation, what would that subject be? 30 mins isn’t a huge amount of time to fill once I get going on a topic (if you have met me, you know this!). ... For me, it could be a few different things depending on the audience. But for me it could be online marketing, time management and productivity or communication. I’d love to hear yours! 09.01.2022 Meet another local business owner Ben from B & R joinery & carpentry From his childhood Ben has a passion for building things - which comes from his uncle. For as long as he remembers, his uncle, who was also a builder would give him a bit of timber and some nails and let him have a play! This is where the passion stems from. Now, only a few years on, that passion has grown and Ben has decided to work for himself and build his own business.... B&R Joinery and Carpentry is a full service, end to end trades provider. What people might not know about Ben himself is that he has the skills and capabilities to make your house dreams a reality. He is a qualified joiner, qualified carpenter, holds his Cert IV in Building and Construction, can weld, hang and set plaster, tile, operate heavy machinery like bobcats and excavators, drive heavy vehicles, lay concrete, make high quality timber furniture, and just to add to that exhaustive list, also dabbles restoration. He truly is a Ben of all trades! Ben explained to me that his clients are the heartbeat of what he does and what drives him. He loves working with his hands to create something out of nothing. But his favourite part of the process is the happiness he sees in the clients when they have a concept, that he is then able to create what they have envisioned There are no shortage of options if you’re looking for a local joiner and carpenter in Wagga and the Riverina, so with that in mind I asked Ben what sets him and his business apart. Ben answered with I care about the customer. I am approachable and I work with my clients to make what they want happen. I listen, am reasonable and help my clients understand all the entire process. If you think Ben and B&R Joinery and Carpentry are as awesome as we do, then show your support by leaving them a positive comment below and sharing this post We believe that strong local communities are built on strong local business! 09.01.2022 Having boy time hanging with my little man, playing with drones and making faces! Hope you had a great weekend!

08.01.2022 What if I told you there was a way to get more work in the door, without feeling sleazy, slimy and having to resort to underhanded tactics. That by changing the way you operate in sales conversations, you could feel less like a magician trying to trick someone into buying you wares and just be more Well more YOU Sales doesn’t come natural to everyone. In actual fact it doesn’t come natural to most people. It is a learned and practiced skill. Most people will tell you, es...pecially the smaller business owners who are forced to do their own selling, that it is one of the most uncomfortable aspects of their business for them to execute on. Sales is often seen as a dirty word And people hate being sold to. But what if we change it up? What if, instead of selling, we were serving? In my experience, the best selling is when we simply care for what the customer or prospect needs and give them the best option for what they're looking for. And that best option might be us, or it might not be. But if you go into your sales as a servant to the person in front of you, to be of service to your clients and prospects, you will be the most effective sales person. You'll tear away that shroud of the fake or ambiguous desire to support the client. You’ll remove the persuasion and sales techniques and closing techniques. Instead, you'll be integral in all you do in trying to care for them. The goal is to identify what the customer needs to see if you can fill that need. Or if you aren’t a good fit, to introduce them to an alternative and do it as efficiently as possible. At the end of the day, if a customer can't benefit greatly from what you do and can benefit from an alternative, isn't it better to give them the alternative? Of course! And if the customer can greatly benefit from what you have and you truly understand what they want, well, then you have the obligation to introduce them to that option and to make that option number one. That's what serving in sales is. Every time you do a sales call, make it a SERVICE call. Serve instead of sell and your sales will improve, I'm sure of it. See more

06.01.2022 I just wanna grab you for a minute. Yes you. The over worked, tired, exhausted small business owner. ... I know you are reading this. The photo of the beers got your attention. It got your attention because it’s Monday, but you are still thinking of the weekend that has just been... And the weekend coming. You are wishing your life away. You want to stop and breathe, take a break. But you know it’s Monday, and you’re a business owner, a leader, so society says you should work. It says you should work 12 and 14 hours a day. You should do the books after the is meant to be long finished. You are meant to be up early and on the tools before everyone else... You are feeling guilty, you are feeling guilt, resentment even, toward the thing you created, that now takes up all of your time, your energy and gets the best parts of you You think you have to hustle. And hustle hard every day. Because thats what the gurus tell you. Thats what you think others are doing. And if you don’t do the same, you won’t keep up. You you will fall behind. You will fail. Or so you think. Its all in your head. Want to know a secret?! You do not need to hustle every moment of every day. It’s ok to not feel guilty to spend time with your kids, with your partner. Its ok to chill on the coach and watch The Block or The Bachelor. And it’s ok to not worry about that email until tomorrow morning. It’s ok to go and exercise, and to read, and take time for you. It’s ok to choose happiness. Because I mean isnt that what we got into business for? To be our own boss, to make a difference, to make a better life for our family But it’s really hard to be a good leader when you’re exhausted. It’s difficult to make a difference if you struggle to bring yourself to your office door. And it’s really hard to be a good partner and parent if the place where we spend the majority of our time and our day keeps taking more and more of our time and our day. I implore you to choose happiness over the hustle. The sun will rise tomorrow, I promise. There will be another day. Another opportunity to do the thing that needs doing. So go be happy! See more

06.01.2022 MINDSET HACK. I came across a YouTube video yesterday with possibly one of the best mindset hacks I had ever heard. Everything happens for the good Simple right? ... Now imagine if you took that mindset into every situation and truly believed it. Regardless of the outcome, you are bulletproof. It changes your perspective away from things happening TO you, to things happening FOR you. It’s a mindset of abundance and opportunity. There is an amazing aspect to our world that can only be understood if we get rid off the notions of failure or defeat in the conventional sense. When something goes wrong or doesn't work, it does not have to mean that you failed. That is a conscious contract that we apply in that situation. See it as a window of opportunity, a signpost along the journey that offers a path to future greatness. Act as if everything that happens is for the good. See more

05.01.2022 Good morning, happy Monday, I just wanted to say that you are f*cking amazing and that this week you should step outside your comfort zone and have a crack at something that pushes past the norms... Even if you feel like you might suck, it might not work, whatever, show up anyway and I promise, you will prove yourself wrong in some way. Every single journey starts with taking that first step.... The more you show up, the more you will learn and grow as a leader, but it all starts with having the courage to start. Step one - Start See more

04.01.2022 Meet Luke Gerhardy - PRD Real Estate Wagga Wagga with PRD Real Estate Wagga Wagga If you have met Luke, you know straight away he is a people person! After one meeting, you feel like you have known the bloke forever. Which makes him a perfect fit for Real Estate - a real relationships gig! Catching up with Luke, it’s easy to see he is there to help. ... I have always found real estate and the people that work in it very interesting (having considered a real estate career at one point in my life as well!). I asked Luke what he loved about it, what got him in the game He told me It’s the roller coaster Pretty intriguing statement, but he went on to explain that he loves the chase. How one phone call in the morning can railroad you, but by afternoon you can have massive wins with your clients that put you on cloud nine. One of the biggest challenges for any person in a service / people based industry is always time management. Luke takes pride in helping his clients himself, and will spend a lot of time with you to ensure he understands you completely. His client service levels are what he benchmarks himself on. Then I got to ask Luke my favourite question With all these amazing agents in Wagga, why should someone pick you? His answer was bang on. He told me not every person should. That he believes he is a perfect fit for some, but not all. Luke encourages people to do their research on the agents they are considering working with. To find the right fit for you. He understands he is dealing in peoples biggest and greatest assets and that deserves a certain level of respect. But one thing to know, is that if you do sign on with Luke, you get the full power of him and the PRD Wagga brand behind you. This includes their extraordinary systems and processes, as well as their unique approach to marketing from their dedicated marketing team. It’s clear to see the passion and energy Luke brings. He is hungry to succeed and achieve outcomes for people and building relationships along the way. But the thing that gets him out of bed in the morning, is knowing that he is helping people, helping families, achieve their dreams and goals. If you think Luke is as awesome as we do, then show your support by leaving him a positive comment below and sharing this post We know that strong local communities are built on strong local business! 03.01.2022 Picking a niche is like picking a life partner... I just had a call from a client who is looking at growing and expanding into new markets, ask about niches... Their comment was I always seem to find the negatives when I try to find a new niche... There is always a reason why it won’t work... Now that’s because you’re looking for the problems. ... Not the opportunities... We need a change in mindset. What I want you to do is think about picking your niche like dating... You don’t find someone and marry them straight away. There is a courting period... A little flirting. You talk a little bit. Even ask for their number! You go on a few dates together. Then it gets a bit more serious and you spend more and more time together. Then you might move in together. Then the engagement. That might go for a year or two. Then you get married... And before you call me out, yes, I know that’s not always the process, but it’s pretty standard right? But in all that time, you’ve figured whether they’re a good fit for you! Whether it’s going to work long term... Niches are the same... Remember, you aren't married to the niche. Just date it for a while... See if its a good fit. If you like them and they like you. If not, end that relationship and find the next niche. If you both like each other, spend more time together. Move in... Get engaged then if its going great and you have found your fit, then marry it! Hope that helps! Reach out if you have any questions! See more

03.01.2022 Meet Danny, Owner and Head Tech at IRanga Tech Starting out as a one-man-band a few years ago, Danny Connolly launched iRanga Tech through his passion for IT. A passion that started all the way back in high school (which couldn’t have been that long ago - look how youthful he is!). This passion led him down the path of coding, even going on to university to study it. Funnily enough though, these days he much prefers the tech side, which is what he has built his bu...Continue reading
